Skoda Octavia 4 Software update from 1668 up

Featured Replies

Hello Guys,

I have already seen couple of topic related to the skoda system updates but non of them started with soft. nr. 1668.

Lately i went to some guy who is "specialized" in Skodas software and he was trying to do the large upgrade from 1668 to 1985 but installation awlays stuck at 0%.

Visiting plenty of different webistes and forums i noticed that many people mentioned that soft upgrade should be done step by step like from 1668 to 17xx then to 18xx etc etc.

What the funny thing is when i enter engineer mode system shows me that i have 1985 but if i go to the settings it shows 1668 and i dont know how to start.

Could you guide me ?

Thanks!

Bad Situation...

Unlock Developer Mode, you can hope, that SWDL works.

Some Modul have now 1985, some 16XX

But the risk to brick the Device is very high

Hello,

You should go to the dealer when sw version is <1800.

Why?

Apparently, they are the only ones with the equipment or the right software to carry out updates below these versions.

If needed, it’s might be free for the 1805 (97EQ recall campaign) and 1810 (91CP) updates.

You might as well make the most of it. Also check Dieteren to see if there are any other recall campaigns pending for your vehicle.

I have done this by a Lot of Cars without Problems. OCU Update when it was needed

My mistake – I’d understood from reading the forum that you had to visit a dealership to upgrade beyond the 1700 versions!
