Hi there, I’ve recently bought a 2017 Octavia vRS 2.0 TSI. I’ve found that whenever I accelerate hard I get a large amount of white / light grey smoke. Originally put this down to condensation during the cold weather, however this problem has persisted even after long journeys which any moisture should be removed from the exhaust system. I’ve had it briefly investigated where they checked the coolant pressure and found no leaks within the coolant system. Ive not had any issues with any fluids needing to be topped up, so can’t trace an obvious cause. I’ve just had a major service performed but this has had no effect either. Has anyone had a similar issue? Or any ideas what could be causing this?

It is probably moisture in the exhaust. My car does it even after an hour on the motorway and a GPF regen. It's a very common thing on these cars, and the vRS has the most choked up exhaust of any EA888 model.

My 2015 vRS did it all year round, and would cloud the rear window for a few seconds. Perfectly normal. There are several threads on here about it.

Thank you both, this has definitely put my mind more at ease. It’s been driving me nuts trying to think what it could be. Google wasn’t much help, so this has made me feel better. I’ll have a look for some of these other threads 👍
