I like the black trim more, but never had one on a car. Not sure is this an option while purchasing?

I know that the chrome one is defective on many non-FL Superbs - it's peeling off on the rear doors, but not on the front ones. There are many Superbs like that and Skoda claims it's from washing the car with incorrect products. Shame on those people washing only half of their cars D

The issue was on MY15 & MY16 models.

The rear door chrome trim gets pushed forward over time, until eventually it fouls with the front door, subsequently getting ripped off when the front door is opened.

They resolved this from MY17 onwards.

I had some creep on the NS when I first got the car. I whacked it back with a rubber mallet and it’s been stationary since then. Never had an issue with the OS.

I lost the same trim on my 2016 Superb a few years ago on the motorway in France. I heard a sudden rattling noise that quickly stopped and found it was missing on my next stop.

They'd come loose occasionally before this, but I'd always noticed and pushed them back on again as you hear a twang as you open the door. This time it was after we came off the ferry and with all the noises and lack of much light, it went unnoticed
