Seat ventilation?

Featured Replies

Good morning everyone, I need your help resolving an issue I can't seem to resolve, even with the help of Skoda customer service. I purchased a Superb Style, registered in Italy in 11/2024 (steering wheel with Skoda logo, not lettering), with the Lounge Design setup (the seats are electric except for the forward movement which is manual and does not have position memories). According to the specifications, the seat ventilation should be included, but there's no way to activate it, not even through physical service via computer. In the seats screen, the massage function alone is shown and in the side smart dials, seat heating alone is shown, while it should show two icons side by side, one with heating and one with ventilation. Now I'm starting to wonder if the first Superb4 didn't have this option in the Lounge Design package, but it was added later. I can't find the old price list to check. I don't know if anyone can help me. Thank you very much.

It is in your temperature, seat heating, seat ventilation button.

I belive that that is an extra, it's only standard on the L&K version, with leather seats.

I must tell you that I have that version and tried it for the first time today for half an hour and didn't feel anything. The AC does the real job of cooling my body temperature. Also, I my car is offline for the 3th time (after resetting to factory settings the user and Infotainment), I'm very disappointed with the software. Also, my car stopped working during a journey on the motorway today, it was scary, I had the key on the back seat, as I normally do, I don't know if I have to have it on the front of the car but this shouldn't happen this way, I could been in a road crash... I'm worried that this will happen again!

@Badelhas Can you provide more details about your incident with the car that stopped working during your trip? What exactly happened?

I has driving for half an hour already, with the key on my back seat, as I always do, and the car turned off complete and a warning says "key not recognized". The breaks and wheen still worked so I pulled on the side road.

Got out of the car with my key, walked a few meters away from the car, got back, the key worked again and I was able to get it working again.

Why would you drive with the key on the back seat? Do you not have pockets?

I had it in a case

But why? It would seem to make things enormously difficult, having to reach back each time.

There's even a receptacle in the centre console cup holder, with a key graphic.

The first question has to be - does this still happen when you have the key in the front with you? Either in a pocket, or in the centre-console cupholder which has the key logo on the base of it?

The key was in the car; it doesn’t matter whether it was in the back seat. This is a bug, period—a bug that should never happen at this level. 😥

I agree. I understand now that the keys must be in the front but I never had a problem until now. And it should have been some kind of warning, instead of turning off the car comppletly without any sign or error. Very dangerous, it was.

It does seem a very bad idea if it’s deliberately programmed in.

Possibly its there if someone nips in and drives off while the owner is standing near the unlocked car with engine running, or pulls you out Grand Theft Auto style.

I understand but that should happpen from the start and not an half an hour after I started driving...
