A/C Doesnt cool enpgh

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a problem with my Mk3 2016 Superb.

The AC doesnt cool enough, the radiator is indeed flat and dirty, but i suspect the compressor too.

Did you have this problem? How can i diagnosis it better?

Thx

Have you had the air con regassed?

The refrigerant can leak out over time and it is no longer efficient at cooling.

Mine was not cooling much. Coldest at vent was 16C. Once regas completed it was 6C

It has air con, i suspect the radiator or the compressor

If you take it to a garage that can recharge the aircon, they normally perform a leak test at the same time as replacing the refrigerant. They will be able to diagnose any issues

In fact, in the UK, the A/C technician is legally obliged to perform a refrigerant leak test before recharging any A/C system.

I recommend clean out the dirt first, just to make sure that's not the root of the problem. If not, then spend ££ on the suggestions made by others.
