Tow bar fitting in old Kodiaq ?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

we have 7 seater Kodiaq from 2019.

Does anybody know if it is possible to fit a tow bar in this car ?

Also, I bought all in service some time ago - would fitting the tow bar violate the service ?

Thanks

While not 100% sure, I think that in the 7 seat Kodiaqs, the towbar is standard,,,when not in use, its out of sight, tucked up behind the rear bumper. A simple way to check is to lift up the tailgate, and on the drivers side rear panel, there's a small pull catch, with a hook emblem on it, and this is the release for lowering the towbar. No pull catch, no towbar.

Best Regards,Jim.

So if there is no pull catch and no towbar I cannot install a new towbar ?

This is my first Skoda Kodiaq, and despite many years of driving all manner of Skoda's and while I can fit towbars no problem, I have no experience in fitting them to the Kodiaq 4x4's. I suggest you contact your nearest Skoda dealership for definite info on the subject. Personally, I cannot see why not....but with modern vehicles, you cannot tell!!!

Best Regards, and let us know how you get on, OK? Thanks

Best Regards, Jim

I have a 2019 Kodiaq and had a tow bar retrofitted at the Skoda garage about a year after purchase. Really pleased with it and use it for my bike rack. Has to have the electrics and parking sensors adjusted so would recommend contacting your local garage.
