Hi all,

I'm hoping some of you Mk3 experts can help. I have a 2016 Octavia III vRS with the 2.0 engine, and my windows fog up on the inside really badly, but only after about 20 minutes of driving or longer. The first 20 minutes are fine.

What I've already checked:

- Plenum chamber drains under the windscreen (clear)

- Boot seals and boot floor (no sign of water)

- No obvious wet carpets in the footwells

What I'm planning to check or have done:

- Cabin/pollen filter condition

- AC compressor running and recirculation off

- AC evaporator drain

- Hidden damp under carpets or mats

Has anyone had this on their vRS and found the cause? Any hidden leak spots or known faults I should look at, like the heater matrix or scuttle seals? Happy to post photos if useful.

Apparently after reading through a few other people's issues, there is a common problem with the passenger side door retaining water in the bottom as the drain hole gets blocked.

Worth having a look ?

could be water in underfelt. Check your coolant level in case its coming from heater matrix. Also check around spare wheel. Had water in there due to a grommet being missing.

Well, I checked both possibilities, but unfortunately, the results were negative.

The trunk (spare wheel compartment) was dry, just as you would have hoped.

I also checked the drainage holes in the passenger doors. They were reasonably clean. Not spotless, but all the drainage holes were completely clear.

The left rear passenger door (behind the driver's door) was by far the dirtiest of them all.

However, there was nothing extreme, which is a shame because I was hoping to find something more obvious.

Did you actually run your fingers along the fold in the LHR door seal ?
