Central Locking System

Featured Replies

When I lock the car with the interior switch all doors lock, one second later the passengers door (NSF) unlocks!

What's the problem here lads?

Can I fix it with VAG-COM, if so how?

Are all the doors completely shut? If it isn't, or if the car thinks it isn't, you might get the symptoms you describe.

All doors shut mate, locks and behaves OK when locking & leaving!

Check the measuring blocks for plausibility, also see if the door locks go into "safe" or just "locked".

Sorry mate, you've lost me there????

The comfort system/central locking can be diagnosed with ignition off, just make sure to initiate the session with ignition on. Go to meas. blocks and check those related to the lock/switch positions for plausibility. Makes more sense now?

Not quite sure mate, I'll "VAG" it in the morning and get back to you.

Got as far as the Measure Blocks, it comes up with 3 groups of blocks, what is the number of the group that relates to the Lock/Switch positions?

What's your central conv. control module part number?

More additions to the same problem!

Unlock the car with the remote, enter passenger door & "fluff" around inside, 15-20 seconds later, car re-locks it's self!

Still missing the part number (an Auto-Scan would help too).

From your last post I bet your passenger door contact is faulty - bus this can also easily be checked with the measuring blocks...

Sounds like you have a short on the passenger door controller. It would also be the cuprit for the auto-lock "feature".

I've had it myself when the car alarm which was an aftermarket fit kept grounding out one of the leads to the "central convenience controller". (I think thats what its called).

VAG-COM should be able to find it

Still missing the part number

Here we go then; O6A 906 032 HJ

Ehm, sorry to disappoint you but this is the ECU part number. OTOH the good news is, I was able to determine your comfort system part number based on that ECU part number - build date etc.

So your comfort system is a 1C0-959-799-???.

So based on that what you should check is MVB 007 (fiel 1 & 2), MWVB 009 and MVB 010.

Where do I find these little feckers?

Ok, what page on the VAG.COM do I go for to check MVB007 (fiel??? 1 & 2) MWVB 009 and MVB 010?

What does the MVB & MWVB stand for?

I guess 007 009 & 010 are "groups"

MVB = Measuring Value Block which means the individual groups.

Right ho;

1. VAG.COM - Open Controller

2. Basic Functions, Meas. Blocks - 08

3. In the Group field enter (top) 007 (middle) 009 (botom) 010.

Is this correct?

If so, what values should I expect?

If the values are incorrect, how do I change them?

Based on that, I'd go with a dodgy passenger door switch. It is not registering the door been opened and auto-locking itself.

Must be working, the interior light comes on!

I had similar problem with driver doors (but in Poland driver seats on left side :-). The reason was loosen wire in connection between doors and car body.
