Mine's completely standard! :(

:bump: :bump: :bump:

We need more people. Lets totally skoda-take this day!

:iagree:

Where are all the Octy vRS drivers - we can't be out-numbered by the smog monsters ;) :P

I wonder how the high speed test is done, GPS? etc.

Don't they usually do it with a laser type speed detector gun? :D

Chris

On the list! Hope it is not raining. MR2 + Water = Oversteer.

Looking forward to meeting more Briskodans also:thumbup:

Chris

Long old journey for me though. 15 minutes ish.

You could always bring the soot burner with the "L" plates............:P

I feel for you with the journey, mine is ten mins..:D

Is that better than a GATSO?

Nah, roof board screws the aerodynamics and causes understeer:D

Yes but I will be sticking to the speed limit. 10 Minutes, thats pretty tough and not cheap on fuel either.

Considered bringing the soot cloud generator, but I already know how it behaves past the limit. It will be a good opportunity to lose the MR2 a few times to see how it reacts as it is a bit dodgy learning this on road in the mid engined car. Had it sideways a bit at lower speeds (scary), but should get to practice on a 70mph + corner on the airfield course.

Chris

PS Cut and blow dry ( oi I said DRY)

I've been in your car once ChrisGB, for straightline speed, how do you reckon it would fair, against the MR2?

Luxury.

If I can make it, it will take me bloddy ages to get there. I'd have to leave at some good awful time like 08.40 in the morning to get there on time.

as it's paid for and booked, it's a prior engagement that cannot be cancelled.(unless the governor is willing to refund you and provide compensation for loss of a good day out ;) )

Another Octy driver :thumbup::D

Still need more though ;)

There is a plan.

As some of us (frown at the people who live 30 seconds away :grumpy:) are going to have to leave the house at stupid o'clock in the morning to be at the airfield for 9am  we (me and David) it would be good to spend the night nearby. According to the map Harlow is the nearest town, so we are looking for an inexpeisive place to stay.

How about a mini meet the day before. Even for people not able to attend the actual day - would be a nice evening get together.

Once we have decided on a place (travel lodge looking likely) then will place a linky. Does anyone have knowledge of the area who could advice?

Very tempted to come along - I have some tyres that need finishing off :D

Any spaces left?

Yes there is. Get your ar5e in gear.

Will Amanda Hugandkiss be joining us too?

The hotel stop might be of use to you.

16 spaces according to the site :D

I too have some tyres that I need to kill off ;)

Hi Emily

I will be up for the mini meet in the evening before. There is a travelodge about a mile from North Weald Airfield on the A414 at North Weald Basset. Sorry I cannot accomodate anyone.

Chris

Roo - are you coming to this one?
