SRT-engineered, 420-hp, 6.1-liter version of the Hemi V-8, some 90 hp more powerful than the Grand Cherokee's 'stock' 5.7-liter Hemi V-8. The twenty-inch, d aluminum rims carry wide 255/45WR-20 Goodyear Eagle RS-A run-flat tires in the front and wide-a$$ 285/40WR-20s in the rear. Brembo brakes too!

It weighs something like 4788 pounds, and it still gets to 60 mph in something like 4.7 seconds, runs the quarter-mile in 14.0 seconds at 105 mph! I thought the Cayenne Turbo S was fast, this is bloody evil!

First one ever in Dubai! It was silver and man it was loud!

I want one.

YUK!

There is only one real 4x4 and that`s a Range Rover.

I would rather have a Supercharged Range Rover.

;)

Didn't look all that nice to me , though the figures do look impressive

I would of expected more HP from a 6.1l engine. I mean Mitsubishi got 400BHP from a 2.0l.

how does it corner

That looks fantastic! I want one!

We hired a Grand Cherokee in the states a few years back. What a fabulous 4X4, but it did live up too American Motors Reliability as it broke down on the VERY last night, it seemed to be electrical failure!

But it still would not stop me buying one if i had the money!

Sooo true, they look especially good in their natural enviroment....in a workshop with the electrician or mechanic working on them. Landcruiser is king.

We know you're patriots to your country' date=' but do you REALLY need to ki$$ a$$ like that?

:D

Landcruiser is king.

True that. THE best off-road vehicle in the world. Your new Range Rovers usualy get stuck on Dubai's dunes.

how does it corner

Probably like a GT Mustang.

Probably like a GT Mustang.

:D :D :thumbup::D :D

I don`t think anything the Americans make goes round corners, cars or bikes.:P

Probably like a GT Mustang

so no problem for you then

Nope...but maybe for you, being the fatty at 5000lbs that you are...

:D

bit touchy ain't you

fyi i'm not really that fat just a bit overweight

Interesting real life example.... I worked on international mines for several years...they bought a batch of new defenders (thanks to a british maintenance manager) ,they lasted a total of 1.5 years on the mine, breaking down, parts needing replacement etc.

The mine shipped them all off and bought landcruisers again as they use to. Landcruisers use to last anything over 5 years of hard daily usage on a mine, with normal maintenance. Defenders just were not up to it, we could have bought a second fleet with the maintenance costs over those 1.5 years, vehicle availability due to breakages etc. was very very poor.

Landcruiser is THE off road vehicle, a close second is the old nissan patrol, bodywork would fall apart but mechanically would just keep on running.

I have a suspicion that the pictured Cherokee isn't actually designed to go off-road in any serious way...

Would look good with spinners and privacy glass, which is probably the look they were going for.

Rob.

I still want one of those Dodge Ram SRT-10 trucks please. :D

Something that big should not be that fast. No substitute for cubic inch's.

I love that GrandCherokee SRT8, I saw a maroon one yesterday and it looked awesome, i love the way the exhausts are in the middle.. This car is seriously Awesome, it would eat a porsche Cayenne Turbo and it only costs the money of a Toyota landcruiser or a Cayenne V6... the Hemi 6.1 Supercharged engine is a Awesome..

In this country that thing would take £80 of petrol and use it in 200 miles. :D I should think it would be more economical to run that engine over there?

People who buy such cars in this country dont care about the fuel consumption anyways :P

But there's one thing about these american engines, Yes they're huge but u can drive them very economically when your not pushing hard, But once u put your foot down, You'll actually feel the that your wallet becoming lighter :P lol

Do you hear that "milkshake sucked up through a straw" sound from the fuel pump/s ?? :D
