Long time sinc eI posted on here, I joined ages back as I almost bought a VRs Octavia but ended up with an E36!

Looking to buy an S3 now and since she shares the same engine maybe you guys can piont me in the right direction.

Im after places (websites) for the usual bits and pieces such as induction kits aetc and any recommendations of whats handy for the 225bhp version of the 1.8T engine.

Also after some nice cf bits to snazzy the engine bay

Not exactly the same engine, but fairly close.

We dont use the K04 Turbo and twin IC set up (as std).

Try www.seatcupra.net, cupra R has the same engine as the S3, lots of info on CAI etc.

I was looking at buying an S3, but discovered that I could get a TT for the same money. If you don't need the rear seats that could be an option.

If you're looking for a steer on mods, try the TT forum as mechanically the S3 is practically identical to the 225 (apart from the suspension I think). www.tt-forum.co.uk

My brother used to have an S3, (210bhp, bought new 2001 and owned it for just over 3years) really nice car.

Well, a lot of people don't like the TT's "hairdresser" image. Being 6'4", 15 stone and working in construction it doesn't bother me at all.
