My first post so greetings to all.

I need a Fabia Rs as quick as poss! :smileyrai

(Don't we all!). I would really appreciate any help in locating a black or silver one - i.e. can anyone mail me some dealer details who may have one? I live near Hull, so a NE location would be welcome!

Nowhere near Hull , but one of my local dealers is advertising the fact that they have a choice of colours in stock.

Dealers are also listed. Alternatively, go to the lists of Skoda dealers in England in our Reviews section here and look up dealers in your region. I went to Pulleyns in York today and they said I could get a Silver one in March, but with no options.

I have a Black magic Fabia Vrs on order from Pulleyn's, York. Order placed last week in Sep 03 delivery expected mid Feb 04. It seems like I've been waiting ages!!

If you are not too bothered about a brand new one there are a few ex demonstrators on the skoda uk website, most have 2-4k on them and are being advertised not much below list, though a bit of haggling would knock some pounds off. Depends what you want really.

Best of look in your search!

Mossman, David Penman in Darlington have a few Fab RS's in their showroom window at the mo, whether they're all taken i dont know, but it's relatively close to Beverley compared to most places.

PS where in Beverley are you - i used to live in Walkington?

Woah, another "Northerner" - This must be the first forum I've visited in ages thats actually got some people who know where the north east is... ;)

David Penman is the Seat dealer, so I don't know if you mean them or not - If that's correct, I'm going to pop down and take a look, as I'm also after a vRS. :)

I went to Phillip Wilkes (Which is on the same road as the Seat dealer) yesterday afternoon to take a look at their two - they have a silver and black one in. It was the first time I actually got to get in a Fabia, and I was very impressed. Its the first time I've been in a Skoda since the VW buy-out (!!) and it was equally as good as my VW.

Would I sound odd if I said I'd also called into the Mercedes dealer, and was a little disappointed by their quality of cars?! I'd take the Fabia over a C-Class any day... :really:

Thank you all for the warm welcome and I have good news!!! Fingers crossed a Silver Rs will be arriving shortly! Need to sort out the cash :handshake and the insurance and should be there!!! More info to follow! Now I need to read up on AMD :D

Hello, another Northerner here.

Indeed David Penman is a SEAT dealer & that's where I got my current car from (SEAT Ibiza 110 TDI Sport )

Another Skoda dealer around the NE region would be Derek Slack in Middlesborough. Never bought from this dealer but recommended by one of my mates.

Fabia vRS would be an option for me, but I have no qualms about the Ibiza so far.

Absolutely delighted with my New Furby VRs in Silver. Arrived on a trailer from Autosales Bilston, West Midlands yesterday. A big thanks to Dean @ Autosales for excellent service and a very smooth sale with no fuss whatsoever.

Now enjoying the car and waiting to get a few miles on it prior to the.. RE..map!!! :cool::thumbup::D
