Very smart Ross, i cant say ive ever considered owning a Vauxhall, but that astra is very very nice...

Very nice looking Astra Ross, I owned several of the mk2's a few years ago.

Nice car! very clean (styling) but typical vauxhall, just look at those shut lines!!! ;):D:D:D

It was a 2.0 16v, didnt set the world alight with speed but looked cool.

My Dad bought it new from the Vauxhall dealer I wirked at and I bought it from him a few years later.

Its done 80,000 miles now.

Looks very nice Ross. The wheels look great on that car/colour combo! :D

But..but...but ....It's a Vauxhall .

I used to have a Vauxhall..........but I'm allright now :D

Very Nice. Prob the best looking Astra I've seen. If it had the new gsi bumper it would be even better.

Very nice, Ross. The wheels are  What are they?

Cheers,

Wheels are 8 x 18 Masitaly VT7's

And I would have had the GSi bumper but it wasnt out at the time.

My dad has a 2.2SRI. its a nice car considering the fact its a vauxhall.. the engine is gorgeous (same unit as in the vx220) smooth as a v6 (twin balancer shafts) yet flexible with loads of torque and very very economical.... 40mpg average on a run. (even with my mainiac dad driving) magazines heraled the engine as "the finest 4pot available" and handling on a par with the focus :)

considering the abuse the car has had (85k so far) the only thing its had go wrong is the clutch slave cylinder.. the whole experience was spoiled by the dealers reluctance to change it (because of the need to remove g/box). they tried replacing master cylinder and various valves first.
