Anyone got any colours for the interior what looking to see what green or blue look like....cheers

I just ordered my rear led in white but was looking at something a bit funky on the inside

Mine arrived today for the rear numberplate but only one works!!!!! :orb_upset

Gonna phone them in the morning so hopefully should still have 'em done before the end of the week.

Cheers

Dave.

Got mine today and put them in, 5 minutes to get them in and 20 minutes trying to find my feaking screw driver set in the garage.

I may go for it later and take the plunge in some green bad boys for the interior ones, if I get all 3 replaced will it make it look like a space ship :D

DOH!!!!! Just phoned them to say one of the bulbs was dead before realising what a plank i'd been by forgetting they only work one way round!!!!! The chap on the phone was very helpfull and now got both in and workin' ok..... Just got to check 'em later when it's dark to check they are shining in the right direction.

Cheers

Those bulbs look great, Just ordering 2 for my rear numberplate. Just asking whether i should order 3 and get one for my interior light. Fabia 12v said he'd used one for the interior light in his golf, does this mean i can use them for the interior light in my fabia?

Cheers

I'm pretty sure when i looked the other day the interior light was a slightly larger bulb than the rear numberplate bulbs..... possibly 42mm.... also the two lights either side of the main light are 501 type bulbs.

Cheers

Dave.

Interior light is 44mm and i have some blue ones for sale if anyone is interested.

I don't like the blue so im going to get standard whote ones.

Interior are 2 x 501 and 1 x264 on the octy.

I have replaced my front side lights with a pair of 501 and they make a big difference to the light.

the 38mm led won't fit octy vrs back reg light as i replaced a w5w (501) push in bulb few week back ! Not sure if the octy vrs owner aware of that ???

Are you referring to the MkI vRS as I have just checked mine (MkII-2006) and the bulbs for the numberplate are C5W (11x38mm) so the 272 LED Festoon bulbs should fit okay?

Heres mine with 7 led 38mm Festoons: Hope you get the idea after the security edit. If you want the original, PM me

I fitted the LED Festoon bulbs to my MkII Octy vRS but didn't have much joy with them. Size wise they were fine and after fitting one I tried the lights and it came on no problem. Adjusted the angle of the bulb etc. & put the light back in so it was on for a good 3-4 minutes. Switched off and fitted the second one. Tried the lights but it wouldn't come on (the first one did) so I assumed I had fitted it the wrong way. Swapped it and tried again and both light up but only for about 10 seconds. Tried a few times and only the first one would come only and then only for about 10 seconds. Evetually had to remove and put the old ones back.

Does anyone know why these didn't stay alight after the initial switch on? Is it some voltage level that's not enough or too much? They looked so good it's a shame to put up with the standard ones.

Could be that the LED isn't pulling enough current so the car is doing something clever to stop the power to it.

Nice one Rich:thumbup:

Can't find any 35mm ones though:(

Baker21, have you tried this mod? If so, where did you find the correct bulb to fit the Superb?

If your talking about the rear number plate lights, both sizes of festoon lamps will fit, the longer ones are just a bit tighter!

The interior bulbs are 501's same as your sidelights.

Hi johnjohnhealy

Thanks for that. I did wonder if the longer ones would still fit.

I'll have to try that at some point.

sometimes, if your car lights are not coming on, or you get a dashlight indicating a bulb has gone, its because LED's draw next to NO current. what you need to do is fit a small resistor in series with the bulb (fiddly as hell) if this is the case.

but i've only had my octy a week, so have no idea what 'features' they have yet, and i could be making irrelevant comments here

Hey, be careful with LED's btw. they get addictive and before long thisis what you get:

So.... does anyone know which ones are required for the Octavia MK1 ?

:)

compare both "standard" and "LED's" on a black fabia

Led's are much brighter with a nice white / blue tint.
