she is thinking of getting an Octavia estate... she has the offer of a Black, 2003 vRS, estate, its said to have the extras, has done 7k miles and the bloke wants 12k for it!! is this a good price and when i go to see it is there and problems i should be looking out for... except the usual ones!! :p

That sounds like an excellent price to me - I should bite his hand off.

seems like a goodprice to me, 7k to be honest there shouldnt be many probs with that milege! i would certainly ask why he is selling it! being an estate i would check for damage to the loading area. as its an almost new car there should be nothing wrong with it, check the coil packs have been changed(same as vw, audi!) it will still be under warranty too!

any other q's?

how are you doing?

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome.....sounds like a bargin. Black needs a lot of effort to keep clean though.

Only problems I've had with my estate are two leaks where the roof rails mount through to the roof (but these were fitted by the dealer) and a faulty tailgate lock. Both problems sorted under warranty. Not sure if the vRS estate has roof rails.

Oh and check for kerbed alloys (they're 16 inchers on the estate, not 17 as on the hatch - not sure why - my dealer does not know either).

BFN,
