Damn! Missed a trick there  Could have been an orphaned, crippled baby camel for added impact (or not as a full grown one makes a real mess, you take the legs out from under them and the body hits the windscreen area  )

I don't need to explain to you the relationship we have with the GM of AGMC. That's why every month or every two weeks I drive a different BMW car. Whether you want to believe me or not is your problem, not mine.

My mistake for saying anything in the first place. You don't know me, or my family, so if you have an envy issue, deal with it, coz that's what it sounds like.

I am truly sorry if I started something here, my curiousity was also fuelled by the fact that I lived in Abu Dhabi for a while and I also remember the speed limits.

Unrelated question, how do you spell rent boy?

PS Only kidding :D

I believe Mil tbh :)

:iagree:

Neily03 seems to have an issue with people who drive BMW's  tis the green eyed monster if you ask me.

It probably was 163 mph on the clocks, but in actual fact, maybe 155 limiter. I'm very sure of myself, that all BMW's are limited to the 155, unless the restrictor has been removed.

Indicated Chris. I hit the limiter in Germany @ 156mph on the speedo. It wouldnt go any faster. Not that I wanted to. Ground rush is awesome at that speed!!

In what car?

Some people remove the Limiter on cars here, it can be done by the main dealer btw..

I've been in a 2006 BMW M5 that has the limiter rem oved and it hit 280 km/ h on a very short stretch of road and that was amazing

Who cares? Mil enjoyed himself, it wasn't on a uk road, and even if it was, so what......why do some ppl ALWAYS doubt others. Mil does say some outrageous things, but why doubt him driving BMW's? I know one or two poeple, including myself who have driven other peoples expensive cars....it's not unheard of.

  Where this feck has that come from??? Oh i remember your the BMW driver who's seriously up yourself and has a complex that everyone hates you cos you 'drive' a BMW....

The fact that Mil was driving a BMW in this thread is completely irrelevant, but you BMW 'drivers' have to come in and start pointing the jealously finger.

Infact this is my first post in this thread where i mentioned BMW, my original post and the reason i first posted in this thread was all to do with it being another of Mil's 'Jackanory' threads. ;) He could have posted he did 155mph in a Porche 911 and i still would have made the reply.

I don't have any issues with BMW drivers, my mum and dad both have BMWs, they're just cars for christ sake!

Also I'd like to add that its very rare that i get jealous but when i do its never over a car, trust me there's a hell of alot more interesting/exciting things in the world than a lump of metal with four wheels.

You wanna try an indicated 215mph on a bike mate, things in the distance become things right in front of you damn quickly!!

In what car?

I think he mentioned in another thread it was a brand spanking 535d :D

Funny you say that. I just wrote a song titled 'Green Eyed Monster' two days ago.

I really don't understand why every thread I start turns into this. I don't lay out cr@p to anyone, it comes out as it should.

Neily, I have the fortunate luck of being able to drive almost every beemer in the AGMC building, simply because of 'connections'. It isn't a brag. I get to drive them and I like to tell you guys about my experiences. If you can't help but start something for the sake of starting trouble, then take it somewhere else. I'm fed up of having to think about starting a thread with the knowledge in the back of my head that someone is gonna pull one up on me.

Gilesk, I know you lived in Abu Dhabi, but please do understand when I say speed limiters are rare to find on any brand of car here. Gulf Specs differ from UK and US spec and Jap spec cars, and limiters are usually removed.

I'm really sorry I started this thread, it's a pain in the a$$ to have this happen every time. We got people telling me it's impossible to take a Beemer at over 160mph because it has a limiter, that same person actually called AGMC to find out for himself, and then we have another one crying that I was overspeeding in a country he isn't even in. Given the road was a 5 lane highway too, and at 2 in the morning.

Thank you for f*cking up the thread. Really. Thank you.

With that I think i will close it. Sorry it turned out like this again Mil.
