New Model Fabia

Featured Replies

I'll reserve final judgement until we get a better look, but am not too happy with what I have seen so far.

I am used to being dissapointed by new car design. I had a MK IV Golf and was thinking of a MK V until I saw it! I still think it is inherently a much worse design than the MK IV - only the GTI looks half reasonable, and don't get me started on the Bangle designed BMWs - all absolutley ugly to my mind. The last decent looking bimmer was the old 3 series coupe- since then they all look like origami prototypes to me.

The other think that bugs me about each new model is that it seems to have to be bigger than its predecessor. Why? are garages getting bigger? are parking spaces getting bigger? The main reason I got our first Fabia vRS (after our Golf IV) was that it was the perfect size for us, whereas the Golf V was bigger again that the IV. I think I read that the Polo is now the same size as the MK I Golf.

Yeah I read that too , but have a look at the comparative weights of the 2 cars , and you will know why a 1.4 Polo feels slow , and a 1.1 Golf 1 feels nippy as fook!:)

Now that I do like. I think I may have found the replacement for the Focus! I just hope they have a diesel vRS.

Octavia II vRS wheels?

Octavia II vRS wheels?

Yep, and some silly photoshopped fog lights. But I like the look.

And with the 1.4 TSi I'd be jolly tempted.

Me too...

Whatever it is, it's a photoshopped attempt.

The spy pic looks like its running Octavia Elegance style wheels instead of vRS ones!

I'm glad its got colour coded door handles as well , black ones look cheap IMHO.

Lol, yes, it's surprisingly accurate.

I expect the front to be a little more toned down in real life though.

That's RHD as well, unless the photo has been flipped.

The article says stuff about the C pillar where you can see they have several different lines and masks over the back of the rear door.

Maybe they haven't decided which to go for yet or maybe one of them is a clue for the 3 door :)

look closely and the tape is over the rear lights to make it look just like the swift...less peeps will be as intreaged. im looking forward to proper photos without the tacky tape etc..:)

Gotta be said.... MK1 looks a damn site better

I'm not particulary interested in these pictures because pre-production pictures are never exactly what the car looks like when it's finally released.

The VRS Fabia is what I would be looking at and when it's officially launched, I'll cast my judgement then. I honestly like the look of those pictures anyway, however near they may be to the real car.

You just know the new VRS Fabia will be a great car, just like the new Octavia is.

Looks a lot narrower than the current Fabia. Less characterful too.

I don't think it is narrower but it's certainly taller which would create that illusion.

When is it on sale?.

When is it on sale?.

after xmas i beleive! not going to have any fancy world debutes there just going to chuck it in the showrooms i think

Best thing skoda could do is continue selling existing Fabia as there is absolutly nothing wrong with them, and bring this new thing in under a new name.

Spy-video of the new Fabia here: Exkluzivn

It looks absolutely disgusting.:thumbdwn:

Looks like Jabba will need to design a new rear ARB for this one.
