red brake calipers

off the top of my head in the addititional 07 manual more maxidot options, cruise control light, speed warning...um

got red calipers which look cracking in race blue :D

Mines BWA.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D ;)

bwa here too (07' revision)

I know (most of) the ancilliaries that an 07 model gets you, I'm asking if there's an '07 BWA revision. :)

Would be nice to see some sort of official line. Given the hearsay (non-benchmarked rolling road graphs, those Autocar results) it doesn't seem beyond the realms of possibility that there was a sly upgrade. When was Octy vRS 2 rolled out? They're probably all BWA, aren't they?

I think they probably are - it came out early this year - January ish? There may be some of the early press release ones that had the non BWA engine as you'd assume they started making them before Sept...?

I still doubt it.

Good for you ;)

Given the figures below, taken from Test Drive mag in May, I can't understand how the GTi and VRs are so competitive performance-wise if they genuinely only have 197bhp as standard.

I know there are lots of other factors involved e.g aerodynamics, torque, gearing etc but I thought this was interesting...

..................R32.....GTi.....VRs.....Focus ST.....Megane225.....AstraVXR

BHP.............250....197.....197......222............222................236

Weight (KG).1590...1336...1400....1317..........1345...............1393

0-60............6.2.....6.7......7.2......6.8.............6.4.................6.4

30-70..........5.9.....6.2......6.3......6.5.............5.9.................5.5

30-50(3rd)...2.9.....2.9......2.7......2.9.............3.0.................3.2

40-60(4th)...4.0.....4.3......4.3......4.0.............4.3.................4.6

50-70(5th)...6.0.....5.9......6.0......5.2.............6.1.................6.2

50-70(6th)...7.8.....7.4......7.7......6.8.............8.0.................8.2

If you genuinely think your car is making 220bhp then you best phone your insurance company and let them know as they will basing the risk on the manufacturers quoted 197bhp.

Manufacturers can't just give a car an extra 20+bhp and not bother telling anyone or they'd get in a whole heap of trouble. If it had more power they'd let everyone know just like when the Audi S3 changed from 210bhp to 225bhp and the new megane has 230PS instead of 225PS. Both of those examples are smaller changes than the figures being discussed here for the 2.0T.

Only a few people apart from us in here are talking about the + of the 200+ bhp of the TFSi motor.

Regarding your advice on phoning the insurance company, it really eludes me why would someone do that. Hell, when i revo my car,I won't even tell my confessor priest (or something)

My sis has a TT 225, I think there must be something wrong with it because I was very disappointed when I drove it  It is a W reg so she's had it a few years, maybe it's that but I thought it felt quite sluggish on acceleration.

Most likely the DV or maybe the MAF.

then you are driving without insurance, get off the roads until you can afford the insurance you fool.

and pixi feeling isn't everything, put the 225TT side by side with the fabia vRS and see which is actually faster :)

if you fabia is standard then the TT will be leagues ahead performance wise :)

in our heyford races an AMD one click'd fabia was slower than a 200bhp remapped FWD octavia so add another 25bhp and take 40bhp off the fabia and the gao would be quite big.

First of all, I didn't offend you,I wasn't even referring to you.

Secondly, before you bother to reply to a fool, get the facts straight wise ***.

I haven't even got hold of the RS yet.It still escapes me why I would go to the insurance company to notify them that my STOCK car makes out 220 bhp instead of the indicated 200.

what about vRS -v- Octavia 4x4turbo?
