...and easily led down the slippery slope :)

I finally succumbed to the urge to tune, phoned AmD, spoke to craig, got a great deal and picked up a one click today!

I took it easy coming out of Bicester, but as soon as the road opened up, so did the throttle and she can really fly now.

If anyone is hesitating or not sure it will be much of a different driving experience, go for it. It changes the whole character of the car for the better.

Power delivery is smoother and more immediate and that big grin is back with a vengeance.:thumbup::D

The question now is where does the slippery slope go now?

Further and further downwards im afraid :)

Glad ur happy

Ross

Yet another happy tuned Fabia owner! :D

The slope is probably even more slippery than the snow and ice we had on Wednesday! :P

where's my 1 click Ross!

Tom.

Out of interest how many of you guys tell your insurance companies you have your Fabia vrs chipped? And if you have told them, how much extra is it and who are you with? If I chipped mine I'd anticipate that Direct Line would not insure me any longer.......

Can we expand that question to take in all the Skoda models? I hope the answer is that everyone has, just as I have done.

Yep, all mods declared on mine. :)

Go with the right insurance company and there is no extra to pay on the premium.

Thats good. What insurance company are you with TaviaRS and DGW? I was going to keep mine standard to be honest, but I fear the lure of a 180bhp / 300 lb ft hot hatchback may be too great to resist :D

Do a search on Liverpool and Victoria.

Don't get an on-line quote, 'phone up and ask.

Competitively priced as well. Seem to pay out OK, just ask Devonutopia.

He had all his mods declared as well. If he hadn't, they probably wouldn't have paid out.

they wont insure me :(

I changed from Norwich Union Direct (no mods allowed) to LiverpoolVictoria (no extra premium for remapping from 150 to 230bhp).

PS: I am over 25. ;)

yeah will only cover me when im 25 damn this been 24 lol

LOL Dog :D

I have just one question being new and all. What is one click, is it just a remap?

hum its odd direct line 639 on tavia vrs LV wont cover me tesco 1200 on supra TT and 1500 on a skyline r33 i mean come on who decides these things

Regarding the 'have you told them' question I can't believe how many people have said I'm daft for telling Direct Line about my chip, even my usually very sensible father. I don't intend to stay with DL come renewal time but everyone keeps saying 'How would they know?'. I think of the worst case scenario ie really nasty smash and possible fatalities, lets face it if the police or DL want to find out you have modified your car they will find out.

The time they'd find out would be when it was a really big payout at stake and it was worth their while to investigate. Which, coincidentally, would be the time that you really wouldn't want to have to pay out of your own pocket or have your insurance declared void! :D
