I'm sure i've heard a couple of member have one fitted. Cant remember who.

I thought the Police could do you for possesion of an illegal substance if you have an LSD in your car! :D:rofl:

I dont have one fitted but I would presume that it would only benifit the handling quite a bit.

the fabia vrs doesn't need a limited slip diff because it has EDL built in for exactly this reason!

the EDL works by braking on the wheel which is spinning, and therefore equalizes the power delivery to each wheel....

I've got a Limited Slip Diff fitted to mine, and it is massively better than EDL.

My car has ESP as well, but post-LSD-fit you can power the car out of corners vastly more quickly than without.

Not a cheap modification, but IMHO well worth it if you want to be able to put the power down more of the time.

where did you get the lsd from?? i've been looking for one for ages but i cant find a supplier..

i know they are very similar to the ones fitted to the o2J gearbox, but they have a different bolt pattern on the diff housing

doesn't EDL only work upto a certain speed (~25mph)? in which case, there's a decent chance it wont do anything when powering out of a corner. it's there more for pulling away on uneven surfaces than powering out of corners?

yeah that's true, but in my experience you need more than 200bhp to make it worth your while fitting a lsd on a front wheel drive car anyway

I'm hoping for a Peloquin LSD very very soon. Should make a world of difference on the "older" control systems in my car. :)

Quaife make one for the Fabia vRS IIRC. I think JBS are the only authorised fitters in the UK that can offer a full warranty.

Doyou have a rear Jabba ARB yet? Apparantly it transforms the handling

I got my 02a peloquin from the states for just over

I had an LSD fitted to a CIVIC SIR from japan .

It was brilliant to drive fast round bends:thumbup: , unlike the ESP which cuts power.

i see what you're saying, but even my focus will start spinning the inside wheel when given some stick on roundabouts etc. and that's got sod all torque compaired to a standard fabia vrs, never mind a remapped one :o

My car would 'jump' on the understeer caused by booting it a little hard when the car was totally standard coming out of bends. With the LSD I can do this in the wet and get a controlled behaviour (if it slips at all).

Noting my car has a lot of mods but a VERY mild remap (+ propane admittedly) I reckon it won't be pushing more than about 160-170 bhp (could be more/less, I am not claiming the power has been tested on a RR or anything like that right now).

I can put the power down a fair bit earlier and not get wheelspin. Also when pulling away on the straight it has less wheelspin than without the LSD. When the ESP is turned off the difference is quite amazing.

A car like Jason's would IMHO really benefit as he hasn't got ESP + he enjoys a bit of pace ;)

My LSD was fitted by JBS as it happens, IIRC they are the only ones that apparently give out a lifetime warranty. HOWEVER I would say that for example Awesome GTI and Impossible Performance have fitted these things too and really, they shouldn't go wrong if fitted by professionals that have done it before.

If you do go for it, I'd consider uprating the clutch at the same time if you haven't got an uprated one already, as those bits come out anyway :)

that is one of the main problems with front wheel drive cars with a transverse gearbox, because one drive shaft is allways longer than the other..... even a limited slip diff wont solve this:)

Torque steer innit?

you'd be surprised how much difference a gear oil change would make in solving these problems!

remember, if you have an lsd, it has it's own oil, which requires a gearbox stripdown to change the oil

so when are you getting cc2/cc3 then vw_vrs? by the number of mods you have it seems almost essential that you make the most of them, especially as you have a hybrid & propane to setup properly :D

The head is currently off due to stupid overheating problem that wasn't found by the Skud dealer :(

I'm hoping to get the rest sorted soon after ;)

An LSD will make a world of difference and should be standard on all performance

cars IMHO.

thats why its not fitted to skoda's, they aren't performance cars :)

Never said they were

:)

was just saying like :)
