Speaker connector part number required

Featured Replies

As I've reverted my ICE to standard, I'm in need of two of the connectors that slot into the standard speakers in the boot.

Anyone know what the part number is? Or know of a suitable replacement alternative?

I've looked on ETOS but it only lists the part number of the speakers or the mounting screws - probably easier to try hellfrauds or a scrappy.

Only unidentified item I can find is described as a plug - 1U0 035 216 but it doesn't show what it's used for

Cheers Matt. I was going round to halfrauds on the way back home anyway to see what alternatives there are... I just hope I don't have to resort to the old soldering iron

How about some crimp on spade terminals of the correct size.

They look like two standard sized spades to me anyway.

The problem is that the top part of the connector and the bottom part of the connector are opposing poles. So the + and - pole would touch each other.

I'm guessing - flat contact housing connecting part loudspeaker for single wiring: 191 906 231 A £1,19 + VAT

Thanks Tom. Googling that part threw up an interesting document: http://www.fullcustom.es/data/car_leon_manuales/varios_vagtypeconnectors.pdf

But looking at :: Thema anzeigen - Einbau des Dynaudio Systems / Passat 3C it looks like I need "1J0 972 723 = Steckergehäuse für Hochtöner hinten" instead of "3B0 972 712 = Steckergehäuse für Hochtöner vorn"

Not looked at the pdf document though as my Acrobat barfed reading some pages... need to update the version apparently :(

Just get fully insulated crimps and then they won't be able to touch each other?

Just order 1 of everything :P

I'm not sure if there is even enough space to get those in, but I will have a look tonight at halfrauds

Ooooh, yes please !

Wouldn't mind if they come with a bit of wiring at the end of it so I can just connect the dangling wires in the back with the connectors...

No, but I am very specific about what I want ;)

right, i've been to my local scrappies, i had a quick look round for some of those connectors but i started pi$$ing it down with rain....

i'm going to a different breakers yard tomorrow to pick up a gearbox, i'll have another look when i'm there

There's a Maplin near me. ;)

I actually may have the original connectors...somewhere... but they are cut just above the plastic shroud so pretty much useless...IMHO.

And I didn't manage to get to a halfrauds tonight as the traffic was terrible :(

Ade, but the connectors will have the part number on them... so if you fancy a dive into the garage tonight... ;)

Is this any good?

Skoda Speaker Adaptor kits

I intend to buy a set in the next couple of weeks, so if anyone else has used them and has something to share on them, it'd be nice to know...

All the best,

Sidney
