nope it was still slipping like mad when he took the turbo off:thumbup:your sachs will do for the time being,it might not last that long Pat:thumbdwn:
I will be showing my mate this thread as he's just bought a 220bhp fabia with a poey Sachs lol - told him

you will see jason....there sweet fook all wrong with my clutch....unless you screw the map right up then it will blow it !

Sound Gary. We'll wring ('Ring ?) the last bit of life out of it, just so long as it lasts until the end of postmanpat's 2008 Tour of the Universe and 1 more trip this year I'll be happy enough. :D

I do believe before the car came up for sale you said you had made the clutch slip?

Or have you forgotten that?

The Sachs will not last on a Hybrid period. Listen to others that have experienced it. Skudmissile for one and Oilburninut. 2 of the most in the know guys

You may be able to drive around it for a while not using full power to way up on the rev range but whats the fun / point in that?

1,500rpm and just sticking the foot down in 6th is what its all about

Pratt? Theres no need to start name calling :thumbdwn:

I could say the same....after you have tryed to slag me and my car off.....and then come on here and try and play the sympathy game about how you best mate ****ed you off .......

The clutch i put in my car will last as long as it can.....you just need a good driver hence why brian as star performance and mike made the standard clutch on his car last up to 30k with a hybrid bolted on....

I really have got no time for you....im not even going there.

You chat so much **** you could run great britian off of meethane gas

I just hope eric has as much fun with the car as i have :D

i drove a hybrid for 11k no clutch slip until the end you know absolutely sod all! get to the car library and read up you ****

and that clutch was standard

At the end of the day i dont like either of you, Lewis your a tight arsed fanny...

And i know nothing? thats why you couldnt refit your front bumper properly - god im jealous of your Skillz :thumbdwn:

Id just run the OEM one until it goes BOOM :D

agreed - no point changing it if its perfectly ok for the moment - take it steady you could get 80k out of it like one of the johnnys on here did

This appears to be commonplace with revo mapped fabias.

Good luck trying to get hold of Westec, AFAIK they went under. Give longlife a call in Caerphilly. They do the Angel remaps which seem to give better power delivery. £285.00 if you go to them. Or you could put that money towards a new clutch. Decisions...

Yea Got my car in at Jabba next week for, Organic sachs clutch with single flywheel, dogbone and 312mm brakes.

waaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhoooooooooooooooooooooo

Clutch ready for a beating!

CANT WAIT !!!!

Whats the damage on that?

umm in total including labour me supplying 312mm brake parts, nearly 1500 quid! Bucks i know!

well worth it tho

I'm not convinced on the angel remaps at longlife.

When I went to get a quote for an exhaust they told me about them and it seems as though they are uploaded by one of the exhaust fitters. I'd rather go somewhere a bit more specialist tbh

Thats what i enjoy about APS they are very professional and explain and run through with you what they are doing. Like very much, Well my first experance with jabba next week so shud be fun!

Yikes

I like my independant retired mechanics. Clutch and fly fit along with 312's and grooved discs all round, + service.....

....£90

:D

Parts supplied by me

When i got mine done they were totally transparant about how they operate. Here's what they do:

1) Dude plugs laptop into car and downloads current map

2) Dude emails map to Angel who tune the map as needs be

3) Angel email map back to Dude who then uploads it to the ECU

No brain surgery involved, just some basic IT skills. :D

Think youll find its not commonplace.. its totally down to how the car is driven and will be an issue with ALL remaps....

My old revo fabia is still on its OE clutch after 110k+ and its one of the more powerful ones too ;)
