Miles on a remapped VRS clutch?

Featured Replies

Was your octavia's ESP standard or an Extra?

Sat inside a few MKII vRS's, there a nice place to be. Maybe the relaxtion makes it dull?

Standard. Dull because it does everything so well. Gets you from point A to point B, safely.

Clutch life is more down to driver than car - my grandmother wore out a clutch in a 1.0 205 in under 4000 miles

so far ? we had someone buy a car from the Ford dealership i work for , only recently passed their test , the clutch was burnt out before the car had got to the first roundabout up the road from the garage , total mileage on car by customer less than 1 mile

Cheers Dave. I have my new sig

I managed to f*ck a turbo aswell but the clutch was in perfect condition. It's HOW you drive the car.

Keep the revs at 2k or more before caning it and you won't have any problems.

I get DMF vibration at around 1600rpm when flooring it - on a non-mapped car that implies an underlying fault surely?

Hmm.. Possibly, Warranty?

Mines had about 40k on it with a remap with no issues
