Goochie On Pistonheads

You have a point there:eek:

But then people tend to want to moan to others they don't know rather than go face to face and resolve things with dealers.

Poor show Phil.

yeah thats why our vRS went into the dealers more than 12 times in 18months

That is a bit excessive. was it all different problems or back for the same like me?

combination of both tbh, a few consistant issues but new ones seemed to keep occuring :(

Why do you keep upsetting yourself going on this Forum as it is reminding you of that s*ity little car you used to own? And wished you had never bought? I was equally disgusted with the Clio I used to own but I have never bothered to go on the Cliosport website after I sold it to whinge on about how c*ap it was I just bought something else and moved on.

  I just drove a clio 197, but cant bring myself to buy a French car!! It felt slower than the fabia:confused: Think its just Diesel Torque. Handling wise my Fabia is no where near one!!

Is the grapefruit juice for drinking or kinky uses

Not telling :P:P

It was the cheap build, the rattles the terrible ride quality and the dealer who I think was a big fan of the Kray twins but it was like a skateboard in the bends

he keeps coming on here cos he has too much time on his hands. Honestly what a .......... (insert missing words)

The thread on pistonheads is about someone wanting a Fabia, all Goochie has done is provide them with a list of all known faults, whats wrong with that ?

My Fabia is 2 years old, done several trackdays and has never been to the dealers for anything, but a lot of others have.

My only issue with his comments is the 312mm brake one, I have persevered with these through 3 sets of discs and then gave up, back to standard again and they can take a lot more stick.

For now i'll just mellow out and laugh at this thread with all those sad Octavia drivers butting in again. :D

lol im not upset at all  best way to deal with that is sell em, which we did.

the fabia isnt the only skoda ive owned and im a paid member on here so see no reason why i shouldnt use the forum:D

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, although I'm surprised to see some of the comments made ;)

I've had no leaks, no rattles, no problems (until recently with a thermostat failure causing me major financial pain engine wise).

The car does not handle well off-factory, and even when rear ARB + Eibachs are fitted, there are much better handling cars out there for sure.

It is a warm hatch, brakes are ok but the 312mms are much better IMHO.

If driven like a warm hatch, and a diesel one at that, it is a good package. Whether the package is 'for you' depends on what you're looking for.

There are some great and some less than great experiences with Skodas, be it dealerships, the cars, or otherwise related to this site for example.

Either way, I prefer to look at what I can get out of my car for my enjoyment, and when I see Jason's car, and having met Stu in person, and Ross via msn, just to name but a few (and there are many more), I enjoy being on this site, having some fun modding the car, perhaps sometimes helping someone else if I can :)

Driving an Audi A2 at the moment - very different priorities in that car again - nice car, overpriced but ok, and as a courtesy car I sure won't be complaining :D

Kenny you sound a bit bitter.

I like mine, problems are nothing major, though when you spend any money on a car you are concerned.

I think a Skoda Fabia is as good as if not better than a VW equivelent.

not at all fella, i liked the fabia when we had it until the issues, its a decent little car. im sure if we had got a good one we would still have it.

only good thing that came out of it we managed to get an ultra low miles 6month old bora

Well we have one of each,Fabia vRS and Octavia vRS.

Out of the two I'd take the Fabia for real world, every day driving.Well done Skoda:thumbup:

(Anyone else keep replacing Headlight bulbs though? It's the only black mark I can put against it)

Phil....stop teasing people:D

Blimey!

Well all I can say is sorry........... for not checking this thread sooner! Its had me chuckling for ages.

What is the problem though? The guy on the original PH thread asked about a Fabia VRS. As he'd dont it over there and not over here I assumed he'd not discovered Briskoda so I gave him a quick list of issues off the top of my head.

If someone on another forum were to ask"What goes wrong with Octavias"or "What goes wrong with 350Zs" then I would reply in a similar manner.

All of the issues I raised are all documented on here and I hope they will provide the potential buying with some food for thought.

If someone could please come up with a list of issues for 06/56 plate Audi A3's then I'd appreciate it

Anyway.... do carry on ladies, I'm sure your handbags have got a few more miles left in them.

They're not problems; they're character! A good few PH-ers, perhaps a majority?, own TVRs and Lotuses, don't forget! :D It's all part of the 'joy' of ownership.

a lot of people on here need to chill out :)

Everyone has there own opinion about things.
