Well after all this hype and discussion I decided not to purchase the EVOMS...

Thought I'd be different, save £100 at the same time and go for the Injen Intake instead.

I think it sounds awesome and at the end of the day an intake is an intake right?

Well I guess I'll be the guinnea pig for this then.

Can't wait. Anything has got to be an improvement over the stock panel filter which I'm running at the moment.

Oh it will be mate! ;)

Any piccies of the Injen then?.

Edit: Looks like I've answered my own query as I have found this.

Looking at it further it appears to cut the corner of the engine bay (the pipe does'nt look long enough!) which means that it would be doubtful that you would get an engine cover to fit but I suppose if you can live with that then it looks and sounds pretty good.

Not fussed about an engine cover tbh.

I want go...not show.

Well today saw a couple of changes to the EVOMS setup using some parts I got hold of recently. Sorry about the pants pictures but it's getting dark

Looking nice and neat I see

It's quite an operation to mod the cover, I certainly wouldn't have done it unless I had a spare.

Well as my Injen was shipped yesterday I hope for it to arrive fairly soon. My car needs it so badly, it feels like its choking sometimes. It should 'unleash the fury' once fitted :)

Was it difficult & time consuming?

Not difficult and like doing everything for the first time, you have to take your time to get it right.

Bit over an hour in all I would imagine.

Is that a standard plastic cover or the EVOMS one?

Looks neat either way.

It's a slightly modded OEM one - Ex Hampshire Constabulary!!

Hi guys, TDI owner here.

I'm on the verge of getting a K&N 57i induction kit to fit onto my vRS TDI and having remembered seeing, and searched for, this thread would like to ask;-

Can you get the EVOM heat shield/shroud thingy, pictured here;-

EVOM_Install050.jpg

that helps insulate the filter from warm air from the engine separately? If so where from and how much? or should I make my own?

You could get it from the UK distributer - Regal in Southampton but be sat down when you ask. Else you might like to try the US which is where ours come from.

What do you have to do to get one and what are the benefits, power increase? Whats the website for it? Cheerz.

which bit do you click on for the Fabia VRS? Cuz theres Audi and VW in there and im not sure which one is right.

Have you seen which forum you are in??

New Octavia!!

That is why you can't find one for the Fabia mate.

don't bother with an intake. minimal gains and they can make your car stutter really bad. the standard airbox is pretty good.
