I'm trying to ignore them. To me, they bring the tone of the site down a little, maybe that's just me being picky though?

The sooner they go, the better, as far as I'm concerned. I know they serve a purpose, but can't see them bringing in much revenue?

They actually do bring in a good amount of money. You have to remember that there are many, many members who browse but not post. All it takes is a click and it's another few dollar cent towards the site.

Interesting stuff. I've always wondered how effective they are on sites, in general.

Steve

I personally don't have a problem with them, having learned that they are meant to be there. I was a little worried (hence post elsewhere) that they might be arriving "unannounced" trojan style. Is all.

Yep, I too had a similar reaction when I first saw them Mo :)

Then I saw posts about them appear...

You would be suprised Steve. Googleads pay for the hosting costs of my local car site ;).

They don't bother me in the slightest. Briskoda not being here would bother me.

[my bold] :agree: All sites have ads of one sort or another so it's for ColinD to decide if they are worthwhile. I quite liked ncarring's idea that we could all click them :D Not sure we can now though if they've been switched off for Freedom members.
