FMIC for SEAT

Featured Replies

At present, my Leon TDI 130 SE only has the Superchip re-map and, according to the R-R where I had it done, is/was producing 172 bhp.

What I would like to know is what sort of figures would I be looking at if an FMIC was fitted?

Stu, went down to a RR day recently .. few Leons were into the 220Bhp or above kinda territory....I'll see if I can dig out any 'gen' for you if you like ( ie whats done to car etc)

Oh, and 172... kinda cool 'numbers'... ;)

Fitting just a FMIC will give virtually nothing as an increase in BHP, but will enable you to use the car to its full potential in warm/hot weather, as it will stop the hot air robbing you of the existing bhp/torque.

You may find no peak power will be gained. But looking at results from awesome's site their is much to gain after 4Krpm with a fmic.

Thanks all.

Girl I know has a Leon, which has Revo stage 1, magnex back box, BMC CDA induction kit, forge 007 DV, pillar mount and guages, also has a few subtle body mods (tinted windows rear lights etc.)....... kicks at 265 Bhp

*but it IS a Cupra R *

why confused? just letting you know some figures.. and letting you know that those *figures* pertain to a LCR rather than a humblee TDi

Exactly. I'm not interested in the LCR.

*kicks soap box out from under Fabby. and slaps horse on a$$ so it bolts out the door ......* :(

forgive him,he's a villa fan(he can't elp it)

most VAG engined cars seem to react the same to fmic,in which they sustain the peak power.

i think its come from some of the jap cars, that people "expect" power increases from a fmic.scooby and sunny gti-r have them sat on top of the engine ,so in a crap position to start with, iirc the only rally the gti-r won was sweden.so cold the intercooler actually worked

Blody 'ell Jase, im only trying to help and the fella goes off on one.. must be that kinda 'silly ' time of the month or summat :(

You getting the stick out yet then Guv!!!

I've not heard much about gain fron the FMIC on the Leon...I had a Cupra.

Craig on SE bought one from what I remember and it was best part of £800:eek:

Much cheaper alternatives surely...Revo, Jabba etc
