i was looking at uk 04 vrs what u think?

Well - kind of. Dad's picking up a new 2.0 litre TDI Golf on 1/3/04. I'm probably, in all likelihood, taking him to Nuneaton to pick it up.

Then I'm gonna see if it was any quicker than my jabba'd TDI...

Yeah I get my 04 1st of march too.

Have looked at plates, but like Monkey said, I can think of better was to spend the money.

Think i could find several better things to spend that sort of money on ;)
I agree with Geoff. You could get a fairly significant increase in power for your new car for that sort of money. Plus on Briskoda most of us tend to play down the fact that we own a car which comes straight out of the Audi/VW parts bin but costs significantly less than either of those brands.........
I agree with Geoff.

What exatly are you getting for

we have taken ur advise and decided to book the instalation of

p.s does anybody know if this affects the warranty

Yes is the official Skoda line, maybe the unofficial. It depends on your dealer in the end. If they are mod-friendly you're ok, if they're not you're not.

I'll be picking up a brand new Fabia in mid-March, so 04 plates it will have...

The dealer already knows I've got personalised plates to put on and has said he'll get them sorted for me for when it arrives, thats Skoda service for ya!

Its not a VRS, but as a new driver, the insurance is bad enough on a Classic.

The plate has my name on it, I ordered it in November when the 04 plates first came out, in my opinion, worth every penny, but I can see where you'd spend that kind of money making other improvements.

I just considered it a worthy investment :rubchin:

Errrm yes I'm getting an 04 plate, only because the car is currently being made and pickup date is W/C 8th March.

Otherwise I'd take the car now.

D

The numberplate does not have the significance it once had when plates changed yearly. :(

Ditto for me, except I've got a couple of extra weeks to wait on top of that also...

I'm getting a 04 plate. Getting delivered to my house 1st march. Guess who's got the day off work :D

My Fabia VRS will be ready on the 1st March, cant wait!!!!

Spoke to Jabbasport about a re-map, anyone had one done??? 191Bhp...mmmm

My second post (joined today  ), first post was to review my local dealer ( Mitchells in West Kirby - Wirral) :) I've just ordered my second Octavia, last one was a 2000 (W) TDi SLX 110 and I'm replacing it with an Elegance TDi 130 on 1st March. I was quite pleasantly surprised to see the additional level of equipment on the 2004 cars, my 2000 Octavia doesn't have rear wash wipe, multichanger or lamp washers! FWIW, one of my pet hates on the old car is the lack of rear wiper :thumbdwn:

Anyway, I've not bought the fastest of Octavias so I guess that doesn't make it a Briskoda but it's certainly noticably faster than my last! I've got loads of questions about stuff, but I'll settle in and get myself comfy first :)

Cheers all,

Dave.

why wait till the 1st? get 'em to deliver it on sat 28th...

Welcome Dave - I believe the norm of 130 owners to be is to profain themselves as SDI drivers, and then moan about the lack of performance and lack of tuneability... ;):D

If that's an option, I'll do so. But the car isn't legally registered until the 1st...

Dave.

My first post! Got to wait 'tl end of March for my Fabia vRS. Can't wait I haven't owned a Skoda since I wrapped my Rapide around a cow.

Hope you got a few bits of steak as compensation!?

There's a Fabia vRS with my name on it heading this way by the end of March. :)
