Hmmm oddness..

Ive been playing mine with no problems

Recently upgraded to a amd X2 4200 (overclocked of course lol) and the game is soooo much smoother.. just gives it the extra-niceness in vista:thumbup:

i had a few days playing online what a wipeout i won 2 games out of about 20 :eek:

Well after an uphill struggle (got my graphics card back last Sunday all repaired:D) I've finally managed to get the game working properly and have completed the GDI campaign...

I feel robbed though... got all the way through the last mission without using the liquid tiberium bomb... and I still get branded a traitor by the General for using it... even though I never!! :thumbdwn:

Thats odd, I did the last mission without using the LTB and I was hailed as a hero yadda yadda.

Then I did it again but this time I used 'da bomb' and then I got my **** kicked by the general. It's one hell of a weapon and redifines the term "weapon of mass destruction"

The Scrin campaign is somewhat odd as well.

hhmm.. maybe I ******'d mine up then... I'll have to try it again later

Loads of rail gun equipped mammoth tanks is the key, you can pretty much win anything with those

They are pretty much unstoppable... I do like to use a mix of weaponry though

Just hit the scrin on the nod campaign...

Bit rusy on my planning type game (used to be ok at total anhiliation once I got my air power up)

So managed to scrape by untill now...it's the working with gdi one, but commando ventured to far and before I knew what my 6 towers of light and shotgun things were gone along with most of my infantry...was very rapid destruction of base, not helped when it happened 30 mins later on a restart :(

Got it sussed on the next one, not one blue thing stepped within 4 tanks length of the base and when I'd finished not one blue thing was left...which is why I never score well...also works against the computer(s) but a human is another matter, they arn't daft enought to wait for ion and tiberium /mine drop timers .

But loving the return to form, reminds me of the early days, except I can play this anywhere with real characters and each block of tiberium is

I ain't played for a week or two but i shall resume when time allows plus i am using a dining chair for the computer which ain't good for gaming

(I do like my comfort)

I've not played it anywhere near as much as I did Generals when that was released, probably because of all the bugs in the game.

The latest patch (1.06) came out last week.. 135Mb download :eek:

Wooo, completed the GDI campaign Bit shorter than I expected it to be but this game is great for online and skirmishes so I aint fussed. Bit annoying that I have to download a 30min patch to play online but never mind (even more annoying that my firewall keeps popping up:rolleyes: )

As yet I've not even tried to play it online.

So far, of the 4 matches I have played I have about a 50% win rate. I used to play Red Alert 2 online loads so not a newbie but its quite different

I've just bought this game with Xmas vouchers! I dont do games like this normally , I've played about 10 minutes of CofH and thought it was quite good, and I love Advance Wars on the gameboy advance. Is there a tutorial?
