BRISKODA Stand GTI International June 16th/17th

Featured Replies

OK, the other thread can now be locked. This is the NEW thread for the Briskoda stand at GTI International this year. The venue is Bruntingthorpe airfield, which is a very good central location for Briskoda, being in Leicestershire, Midlands, with good connections to the M1. Info can be found at:

http://www.gtiinternational.co.uk/ and click on 2007. You can view the online booking form, or as I would prefer given the way payment is asked for, ring them on 01525 750 500 to sort out payment and ensure you mention "BRISKODA.net" when booking.

The weekend costs are broken down as follows:

1) JASON.

I'm booked. :woohoo:

For note, your card will not be debited until beginning of May - So for now, the above phone number gets you through to their ordering system. Club stand passes will follow, and may be all sent to me nearer the time and I will need to distribute them closer to June. We'll see about that. For now, the number above gets you reserved for a ticket.

Sidenote - If you don't fancy camping and prefer slightly more luxury there are cheap rooms at Leicester Central Travel Lodge (£26 for Family Room) for a short period.

Briskoda is on the drop down list for club bookings online.

Camping apparently has not been fully arranged yet, as GTI international usually sub contract this out to someone else for the show, and last year's company isn't doing it this year (perhaps due to location move) - so camping is still up in the air, however there's lots of nice hotels around the area, and if camping falls through I have a comfy bed at one of my relations in a nearby village. :P

It's the start of my girlfriend's final degree show that weekend, so I can only do Sunday. If lots of people are staying in Hotels in the area, how about a (short) run down from Leicester on Sunday morning?

PS: Is it me, or is that form broken? The 'Submit' button has a link around it, which goes to a page that doesn't exist!

I do recommend phoning them up. I just don't trust the online page, even though I was assured it was secure. Use the phone number in post #1. :) Please only add your name once you are 100% certain, and add whether it's weekend or one day or tuther.

There will be a Briskoda Club stand so all club members are welcome, the stand will be restricted to Skoda though.

I do hope we have a good presence on both days. :)

Even if we have no stand bunting/banners, we should try to at least fill it up with lots of skodas. :)

Don't forget there will be 1/4 mile action, etc. :) Oh, and check out the number of clubs already down to go. There'll be some amazing cars there! (and some Skodas ;))

I'm planning on attending the Sunday session to help out with the turnout

There aren't any

I'm there but i'm going with some mates from a local vag club,i go to a lot of shows and meets with them so felt i should attend with them instead, would of been good to be with the other skodas but i'm sure i'll see some of you at the show anyway

Sounds good and I'd like to support the cause. I note the Skoda only clause for the stand, and obviously fully understand this.

I'd turn up in a VAG of some description ;), so am I best just sorting tickets through the most relevant club in attendance - probably UK-Mkivs?

Sorry if this sounds like a daft question, but this is the car forum I frequent the most :)

Steve

EDIT: saying that, I still need to clear this with SWMBO, so nothing's for certain at the moment!!

Im going my tickets are paid for and im camping timos going as well with his black octy vrs.We both went last year apparently the camp site is closer this year 2miles away .

Me and willy whatever number he is, will be there. Can't put my car on stand though, would let the side down a bit, looks great from a distance but the 110k have chipped the paint to buggery.

I'm going with 135K worth of stone chips

Just give it a wax and a vacuum and it'll be fine. :)

There will also be light-hearted inter-club competitions during both days, including a wheel&tyre

change, tug-of-war, space-hopper race and a penalty shoot-out, with a prize of

If I booked for Saturday is there still space on the Briskoda stand?

I think it'll be ok Mike, Saturday is the quieter day.

OK - anyone who can do so, please copy the text and link in my signature into their own sig, and copy/paste the URL of the GTI banner that Wardy kindly did (hope he doesn't mind hotlinking - I'll copy/paste it on to my own webspace if need be) and put the banner URL into tags.

Hi devonutopia. Is there space left on both days? Just heard I will be getting my Furby back within the next two weeks (I sent you a pm last week) and I only live 40 mins away from Bruntingthorpe so i'll be up both days. Just depends how much space is still available.

Cheers bud, James
