Will anyone have Vagcom & laptop with them on the Saturday? :)

I wonder if I could borrow it to re-set my throttle body? (Though i've no idea how!)

I've got the bits to give it a clean but no way of re-setting it when done....

James, sorry we'll miss you Saturday! Hope the car gets sorted quickly!

Now that is good thinking. I could really do with having mine done if someone will have the know how and the means with them. Do I def. have to get a gasket would be hard to get to a stealers by then.

Timo, I have a spare gasket and set of 4 brand new bolts, bought from the dealer. Don't know why they ordered me two sets but they did....your lucky day!!

I'll bring my laptop and Vag-Com, but you'll have to teach me these petrolhead rituals - I never need to use them.

I'll bring mine along as well, just in case.

I will have mine too, but "throttle bodies" - ??? :D Not a TDI term I'm familiar with.

Purely for academic interest, of course.

I have learnt through bitter experience driving in Leicester to just make sure you stick to the limit. I ended up in court and got 6 points for my troubles a few years back :thumbdwn:

Damn mobile speed cameras!

On another note I am not convinced that the weather is looking too promising for the weekend.....

:( Sunday looks like it may be slightly better than Saturday but it seems we should expect rain either way :(

Bloody weather. It was red hot there last year!

Well, MET office long term for Leicester says 19 degC and sun with 1 raindrop, and sunday is 21 degC with no rain. We shall see. A damp surface evens up the 1/4 mile a bit. :D

Anyone from darn sarf fancy a mini convoy to this? I'm meeting Chris at Chievely Services at 7:00am (Sunday) for a quick coffee before we set off.

Yeah, Saturday was a scorcher last year.

Just checked the Met Office website & things seem to be improving for both days.

Sunny intervals. Lets hope the rain stays away.

Chievely, is that the M4/A34 interchange services, in which case yes, then someone else can be responsible for the navigation! :D

I'm staying just 6 or so miles away so no convoy for me. :) Heading off tomorrow at 4 from Devon. Might give me a little time to clean the car down by the time I get to my "hotel" up there. :)

That's the one Lee

Are we all aiming for 9ish then?

All being well me, Chris & Lee will be there for 9am

Do they let you in before 9 to set the club stands up before it gets busy or not?

Who's going for the show n shine then? If there is a cat for Skoda, one of us could win, assuming we are the only skodas on the day.

I'll be getting there for about 10ish on Saturday I think.

I'm coming with my brother and his 2 lads (7 & 4), - they're more excited then we are :)

Show and Shine should be a challenge with the weather forecast!

I'm planning on cleaning mine on Sat morning but I reckon by the time I have done the 20 or so miles up the M1 from my brothers house it will be filthy again
