Hi all

Wanted to start a poll on this see what people think

Should the Race Blue Limited VRS be left standard or modified?

I sould have mine by the end of the month but cant decide which way to go

looking forward to a healthy debate

Cheers

JabbaSport rear ARB is a must IMO. The handling is shocking without it

Because it's a special edition. Leaving it standard would be nice.

Do what you want to it. It's your car afterall. Please pay no attention to those that will inevitably come on here saying that if you modify it you will be destroying a future classic:rolleyes: but likewise ignore those that think throwing big flappy flaps and a barrage of spoliers on it will make it "well cool"

IMO a nicer set of wheels is all the car will need cosmetically, any other mods should be done with the warrenty in mind.

I have a couple of sets of 18's an ARB and a set of springs sitting, these are all I'd consider doing as I could lose my licence easilly enough as it is, the handling needs improved and it wouldn't shout 'Max Power' too much either.

I'm not doing anything to mine until the warranty's done. Though I was tempted by the anthracite wheels the dealer had on his vRS demo. He also asked if I would be interested in a discreet "SE" sticker for the car.

anthracite wheels on the blue SE would be nice. mmmmmmmm

I agree a new set of wheels is all the car needs and i was thinking of rally white one for mine if i ever get it.

white wheels on the blue SE would be nice. mmmmmmmm:rofl:

Well if you did go for nicer wheels and a few suspension mods it can all go back to OE spec very easily.

:iagree:

Jabba ARB, nice wheels and some eibach springs to stop the car looking like its still on its suspension blocks..

subtle and little external mods and LOADS of internal mods..!

It's a nice car. Leave it standard until you get fed up with it. Then modify your opinion of it to a satisfied one. It's much cheaper.

just fit the rear ARB and Eibach springs , that way it will look standard(ish) but handle a lot better

Have realised that I have already fitted 1 mod

- the Briskoda sticker in the rear window ! ;)

stay standard for a while then modify what you think you need to. its all down to what you think i will be fiting a rear ARB soon

Hi All! My vRS SE will be getting modified from standard. I intend to have it remapped, PD160 intake, rear antiroll bar and I'm not sure about the Ibiza sound deadening (I'm going to wait and see how the diesel rattle sounds from inside the car) I quite like the idea of the in dash cd changer so I may swap the original under seat item.

Better still. Cancel your order for the car, wait 'till the new VRs arrives next year and save a small fortune on modifications.

Who said that then?

I would say modify it, but keep all authentic pieces that have been replaced :P

I could do that johnnyboy ........ If I wanted to drive a car that looked like a chopped down roomster. Which I dont.

Leave it standard. I think only very silly people get carried away by modifying, you should enjoy it as it is.
