Got my first door dent and kerb my first alloy

Featured Replies

Been trying so hard to keep the car perfect :(

Kerbed two alloys in the space of a few seconds when I was really stressed dropping my mum off at a tube station.

Noticed when washing the car yesterday I saw I had a door dent.

Neither are very bad, but really gutted, especially with all the cracks in the windscreen. Looks like it has come back from a war zone. :(

I know exactly how you feel. :( I kerbed two of my alloys whilst trying to help an ambulance squeeze passed me. Moron on the other side of the road just stopped in her tracks when she saw the ambulance and it couldn't get passed...

I've also got a nasty ding in one of my rear doors which I am pretty sure was caused by an X5's rear door... Grrrrrrrrrr

Not only that, but some lovely person threw a metal pipe or something at my car, and now I have a small chunk of spoiler missing! That's going to need filling and a repsray.

I know these are all only minor things, but when you try look after your car so much, it really does drive you mad. My plan is get my car all sorted out this summer.

Don't worry Emily, its fixable. :)

Gutted, I found my first dent yesterday. :(

Don't feel so bad about it, just went out to try and take a picture of the offending dent, and I couldn't even take a picture that let you see the problem.

Might try a little elbow grease and see what happens

Sorry to hear about you rims. I've not tried this yet, but I have seen the result on my car due to a garage scuffing my rims (the rims look like new now ;) ) but you might like to try this at some point.

Looks reasonably easy up to the point of painting the rim (sorry).

Cheers

Rich

sorry to hear that, it is gutting :(

got my first door dent the other week at the asda. I always park out of the way and thought it would be safe against a fellow octavia sport but he rewarded me with a ding :finger:

You can only try your best.

I kept our other car mint...2 weeks with the missus and I had to stop commenting.

Used to live in Belsize Park - saw some beautiful cars - get close and they all had scratches and dents - Ferraris, Bentleys the lot. Some tw*t had keyed an unbelievably gorgeous Porsche.

When you get a couple more marks, and another scratch, it won't matter so much.

Welcome to my world.

But I had kept it perfect.

Not very clean, but I always tilt my mirrors down when I park so as not to crunch the alloys. Some careless bint then slams her door in to mine.

I am still very bitter about it :(

It is often others that cause it - My drivers wingmirror is damaged visually thanks to some foreign person clipping it in Starcross. :grumpy:

See how many you have acrrued at 143k miles. I haven't got that many but the little pin dents really get on my txxts.

Stone chip city on the front though  Not for long though :D

If in doubt get a respray....other solutions are available:rofl: :D

:orb_upset I know exactly how you feel. I kerbed my alloys on the near side not long after I got my Vrs, not much damage, but bloody frustrating all the same.
