Anyone ever seen their car getting broke into?

Featured Replies

6:25am today (Bank holiday monday) i wake up to the sound of my car alarm going off, up like a bolt i go to the window to turn the alarm off to see some ch@v in a hoody steeling the mini itx (PC) and 7" touch screen out of my car and cycling off.

He left a Chizzle in the passanger footwell, so police are taking it for finger prints

Can tell he was a ch@v as the Led Zep album on the seat was still there, no taste..

But in a week where a mate from school dies in a car crash, i lose my wallet and have my account empty'd, break up with the misses after i catch her cheating on me, and pritty much have work tell me they are dropping me to part time, which means i need to find a new job, all you can do is laugh.

Can anyone better my week?

Led Zep album on the seat was still there

that is the worst part:O

sorry to hear of your woes old chum..

i'm sure somby will be along with the 'group hug' smiley in a short while

Sorry to hear that Jim :( I did have my old polo broken into twice, but I was still yound and innocent and thought that you had decent car stereo with 30cm rear parcel-shelf speakers ;) And I didn't have any of the other troubles you're currently going through. Chin up mate

Tom, I strongly disagree! It's the best part: he still has some music to listen to :)

Na its just got worse lol. The Led Zep cd now skips from scratches caused by the broken glass.. argh!

If i had money, i'd treat myself to an funcone icecream with a fudge stick!

Bloody hell Jimb0 what a sh!te week. I sincerely hope the next week is better.

Chris

Bloody hell Jimb0! Can't believe what you've been through and you're doing really well to keep it together. Things will improve (they can't get much worse! :D).

Thanks guys, nice to feel people out there care :) I was really really down when my friend died, then i went on holiday with my misses for a few days in Corwall,

Which started off on a bad note as i lost my wallet on the first night, to then find it on the 3rd night, Check my balance to find it empty.. Then cancel my card (not been to the bank yet to find out where its gone - other things on my mind

mate that sucks :(

I was working yesterday, and I would have!

Struth! They do say that it never rains but it pours, so hopefully that's your quota of bad luck out of the way for a good long while. Oh, and hopefully it won't pour till you get the glass replaced ;)

My neighbour chased off someone trying to nick my old polo and said in the morning that they hoped they had done me a favour (i.e. would I have been better off with the ins money ROFL).

Hope you get your ice cream. See if you can get a bogof and only pay for the free one.

I dislocated my pelvis playing rugby and was unable to walk for about a month, whilst lying in bed I could see on the street outside my car at the time (Vauxhall Corshed) I wake in the middle of the night to the alarm horn going off, crane my neck to see out the window and sure enough a pair of ned's hanging out the window ripping the sony stereo out.

Stupid sod's left the remote control in the car which is needed to activate the stereo so probably no use to them.

I lay there screaming at them like a maddie not able to get up and them not able to hear me thru double glazing :( one of the most frustrating moments of my life.

chin up mate....you still have your health, plenty more fish in the see, and the car is only metal! don't worry it'll sort out and be better soon

How awful for you :(

I hope things get better

Quick update - Dropped the car off for repair at a place the insurance company said in Newport, Replacment window and fixing of a small tent in the passanger door.

Was advised that the repair would take roughly 2 weeks!!!! For just 1 window and a tiny dent, you must be joking. So i've got a rather unsexy Clio 1.2 to keep me going for 2 weeks, gutless is one word to describe it and handles like a jelly. But a 2nd class ride is better than a 1st class walk.

Really miss the furball already :'( Still, it'll make me appreciate how lucky i am to have such a nice car when i get it back :)

Job hunt starts tomorrow so fingers crossed :)

And thanks everyone for the support, times like these really do make you stronger, and having people around me and people giving me support has really helped! So a big thumbs up

Ah, the campervan conversion :thumbup::rofl:

If I was over your way I'd give you a BIG hug :grouphug:

Sorry bout all your troubles lately.

Round these parts the hoodies are armed with pulse detectors, and seek out any car with electronic pulses in the glovebox or boot areas.

Stupid neighbour keeps replacing his TomTom, and still leaves it in the car. You'd have thought after his 4th consecutive breakin, he'd have learned? Time will tell if it's 5 in a row.....

Theiving scum at Vaginia water and Thorpe park have been stealing ciggies left in centre consoles or on the dash. Just for ciggies! And of course no one sees anything (more like refuses to get involved), yet are the first to moan when something happens to their stuff.

Scum bags, the lot of 'em.

Well lets update this again..

Just walked downstairs and looked out the window, and noticed a rather large graze on the rear drivers side corner of the clio i have on hire. So Some **** has bumped into it whilst i was parked up yesturday in work, and not left a note to say who did it. Im not sure on the excess of the hire car at this stage, but its going to be huge!

2 claimes on insurance in 4 days, both not my fault. But you can be damned sure my insurance is going to be sooo high next year, I might not be able to afford to keep the furby.

So im probably going to have to fork out upto

To lighten the mood a little - Maybe the 1st class walk would have been cheaper :)

Give the hire car back, and walk / jog, you will be a lot fitter for the next girl you meet ;) .

I know they are only words, but it WILL turn around. keep going.
