Yes, all of the specials were done by a company, who's name escapes me, here in the UK. You can take any Monaro, and do the upgrades. Supercharger kit is 5k fitted, twin turbo's are 10k fitted, and they give 700bhp.............................up to 1300bhp :eek:

5pot + 10 pot sound similar in a individual urquattro/F1 car kinda way

8 pot n 12 pot sound similar and "bigger chested"

I like the sound of a 5 pot... the crocus ST with milltek is very tasty..

My mate works for a garage that specialises in stage 1,2,3 Performance kits for Holdens Monaro's and Corvettes.

He says that for about 10 G's you can get one of these (VXR monaros) running faster than a DB9 Aston - I believe him - they are mental and sound fantastic - Do you know what as well, the servicing on them is really cheap - about

The DB9 Coupe has a kerb weight of 1760 kg and 450bhp (255.68 per tonne). The standard Monaro VXR weighs 1677kg with 403bhp (240.31 per tonne), so I'd imagine just a supercharger would make it faster

IMHO, it's a pretty well balanced car with very predictable power delivery so crashing is not a big issue unless you're being stupid

Having just seen and heard this car in the metal, i can confirm that i am not VXR enough.
