What would make your Octy just perfect?

If most of the stuff listed here was available it would be called an Audi :D

I was going to mention proper metal interior door handles (I'm tactile you know :o )

But, as mentioned above, the reason the car is

If it were a different colour and it had (a lot) more power. :rolleyes:

Less plastic made noise on the back door;

Less audible 2.0 TDi;

Softer seats (especialy at the back);

more sensitive rain sensor;

Softer drive on low speeds;

Controlled water flow during windscreen wash;

Cruise control buttons on the steering (with indicator lamp);

Less cracking jumbo box cover;

Bumper paint is peeling off;

More power on low rev for starting from the standstill (2.0 TDi);...

Beside all this, excellent car. I'm love'n it!

I reckon it would need the following

1. 4WD

2. Anti-Lag System (Similar to a Dump Valve but far more effective)

3. 21" X 14.4" Wheels (Same as a Veyron :rolleyes: )

4. The Stig as a Chauffeur (How much fun would the drive to work be then :D )

5. Radar Guided Cruise Control

6. Night Vision

7. Heads Up Display

8. Bi-Xenon Lights

9. LED Side, Indicator and Tail Lights

10. Rolling Number Plate (For Speed Cameras :D )

11. Chameleon Paint

12. Self Servicing Engine

13. 1 Million Mile Tyres

14. Anastacia in the Passenger Seat :thumbup:

Apparantly all this will be standard on the 2080 MY :rolleyes: :rolleyes: so not long to wait

10. tinted mirrors (blue like on the Golf)

The Octy 1 RS has blue tinted mirrors. What about the Octy 2???

The L&K has self dimming ones :cool:

Pull up doggy stopper/load net. It annoys me that its an option on the continent, but not available here. To me its a vital safety feature, and I'd gladly pay extra for it.

If it was getting delivered tomorrow :( (5 weeks to go).

4WD and less rattles!

An accurate trip computer - It CAN'T be that hard to measure the fuel/speed/distance accurately

My wishes for the next years octavia RS TFSI versjon: same enegine as the Golf GTI etition with 230ps\hk, DSG and 4 wheel drive:D

A proper little cubby hole on the drivers door - my Avensis had an enclosed door handle/pull thing so you could drop in car park ticket/id card/garage key and it was quick access. Handy for tubes of polos too!

If it was dark grey with 17's. Spotted one today in Durham and it looked a lot better than mine :(

Like mine? ;)

She is 4 months pregnant at the moment. Can you wait?;)

No need to stop, infact it's good for the baby. And she looks even more raidiant IMO :thumbup:

A turbo on my 2.0 FSI !

Agreed. I miss my 1.8T :(

I couldn't agree more, and according to SUK you can retro fit one, but you would be looking at

Totoally agreed. The odometer needs fixing too.

At 70 mph per my satnav (three different ones say so) the speedo indicates 76mph.

On a 20.1 mile journey, the odometer indicates 20.4 miles.

When the trip computer said I did 47.10 mpg over 2410 miles, a calculation on mileage covered to fuel put in over the same period said 43.20. The odometer error would if corrected bring the indicated mpg to 46.4, so its not that.

more sensitive rain sensor;!

And also less sensitive, as it will wipe in teh dry. Hmmm, one that works properly then.

Cruise control buttons on the steering (with indicator lamp);!

Yep, particularly the indicator light.

More power on low rev for starting from the standstill (2.0 TDi);...!

Its embarassing setting off so slow, then rushing. If I come out from my estate, I know that the car coming up the main road has no chance of reaching me, but he thinks "Oh, dear, there's a slow car coming out" and might slow down before he thinks "wow, where did he go"

Beside all this, excellent car. I'm love'n it!

I agree.

Hi,

This is a difficult one to ever get right as we fill our cars by volume, but the engine uses the fuel by weight. So in the warmer months we are not getting as much actual fuel per ltr. Added to this that the garages are allowed a certain amount error in their measuring equipment, so when you are paying for 10 ltr you may have only received 9.5 (not sure what the actual allowable margin of error is) and you know the garages will ensure that any errors come down on their side. The only way to anything like one up on the system is to fill up at the crack of dawn, i.e. at the coldest time of the day.

Quattro 4WD system and a DSG gearbox on the VRs:D

Then again yesterday I was visiting an Audi dealer who had an A3 Sportback S-line Quattro 2.0TFSi in the showroom and it was just under

1. As mentioned numerous times before, less rattles and creaks. It cant be that hard to sort out, can it?!

2. Auto lights that dont switch on on 80(ish) mph making you look like an impatient a**e (even if you are!)

3. Rear parking sensors as standard

4. Better audio system

5. Seat belt warning to come on when the car starts moving not at stationary. I tend to start the car then belt up.

6. Dash buttons with electric shock facility to teach passengers not to fiddle.

7. Sidewinder missles and Gatling gun to deal with other road (mis)users.

The audio system is suprisingly good actually, I have the pleasure of a Vectra hire car and the speakers are toilet.

The biggest thing that seriously needs sorting is the damned main beam, SWMBO's micra has a more powerful set of mains.

Every speedo on a car will be out of kilter as they are always calibrated high from the factory so an indicated 30mph will be circa 27-28mph, could be the difference between life and death in certain circumstances.

I think gas struts should be fitted to the bonnet, the bonnet stay is dated in this day and age. Rear seats that dont creak - thats so annoying at times!! Folding mirrors, rain sensors auto dim rvm and a tailgate that dosent waz water in the boot when you open it!

I notice that the Fabia crew are doing a Group-Buy for some bonnet lifters.

I pressume they are a different design/strength for the Octy (that's a lot of sheet metal to lift!) - do we want to do our own "GB"?

... I know I shall start a thread :rolleyes:

Dare I say it and if it hasn't been said already (getting too late to read through any more posts)....

...Audi badges

:) Just kidding

Suspension springs made out of something less brittle than 'Nutty Slack'

A centre armrest that can be simply lifted out of its mounting rather than unbolted....would make carrying long lengths of timber or adjusting the handbrake etc much easier.

A CD multichanger that didn't start shouting 'Mechanic' at the slightest hint of a bit of fine dust

No need for Bonnet lifters...thats what the wifes for...
