Just placed my order for a Fab vrs

Featured Replies

Reading the posts it looks like I made the right decision. I sold my 6 month old Hyundai Coupe FX to fund it. The Coupe is a nice looking car but it drank petrol & never really seemed to perform well in terms of acceleration, it did corner well tho.

My car before that was a Puma & I am hoping that the vrs gives me the same kind of satisfation as that car gave me.

Welcome Arctor !

I had a Coupe in a previous life-time. Really loved it, but it compares pale to the RS...

Welcome to yet another Fabia vRS owner.

We will take over before you know it! ;)

welcome to the club, you made the right choice

something I forgot to check with the dealer, the key in the brochure shows an electronic boot release button, is that as standard on the VRS.

It sure is.

Nice one.

It was one of the things I really missed moving from the Puma to the Coupe, especially with having to lug my laptop about.

Hi Arctor, and welcome to the nut 'ouse.Great site though in'it,anything you want to know someone there to help,(thanks everyone, feel like I've been here for years already) Stuff the telly.

Good choice mate you wont regret it.

Lots of little natty features to the Fabia vRS, youll be finding them for ages.

Neat little touches I like are things like...

Chrome lock buttons

Sill plates

Rear wash wipe goes when selecting reverse

Three button flick key (inc the boot release as mentioned)

Multi function display

Air con cooled glovebox and cubby box...genuis.

Oh and stonking great performance and incredable MPG :)

Great choice. You'll love it!

Top choice, had a Panther Black Puma 1.7VCT, now have Black Magic Fabia vRS and not looked back. The diesel gives a more "relaxed" kind of performance over the manic Puma, but it's deceptive - doesn't feel as fast, but sure is, esp over 60mph on the way to 80, 90, 100, 110 etc... Slipping into 6th and having decent accelleration feels good!

Enjoy.

Welcome Arctor by the way, any problems will surely be solved by one of the budding tinkerers on the forum

I'd be interested to know 'cause I have a Puma now (which I love) but Ford make nothing to interest me now so I'd consider a vRS to replace it...

I will let you know when I get hold of it (next Friday hopefully). It is sad that ford stopped making the Puma, I looked around at similar cars in the price range & ended up with the Hyundai Coupe which is a nice car but drives too big.

My Fabia vRS replaced a Puma!

The Fabia is better in every way - apart from steering, handling and top end scream :P

Having said that the Puma's steering and handling is probably one of the best anyway, so would take some beating
