Here is my fab washed, but not polished, can anybody give us some tips on how to get that show room finish like your motors on here, they are all like new.. I used commas shampoo, would a better make, make any difference...? cheers

I have tried meguiars and autoglym shampoo (along with some cheaper alternatives) and my personal preference is autoglym. With regards to polishing I use autoglym super resin polish followed by extra gloss protection and then finally poorboy's wax.

i aggree, i use autoglym and it is very good, i just see everybody is talking about Meguiars.

I find Meguires NXT Generation Shampoo does a great job for washing (have tried Turtle Wax and Autoglym previously) I use either Autoglym Super Resin polish and/or (depending on how dirty the paint looks) Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection , follwed by a coat of Meguires Gold Class liquid wax. On plastic trim I like to use Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber Care , and on my tyres I'm currently using Meguires Tyre Gel.

try autoglym aqua wax,

suits me as means can wax without drying, and brings it up very nicely indeed.

I'd go with the Aqua Wax. I used it for the first time this evening and here are the results.

Really nice shine and minimal effort. Result!

Just used some Aqua wax for the first time, it smells great an does a fantastic job in a fraction of the time of normal wax products.

Personally, I like Meguires. The best Ive come across for budget products. The Car Wash NXT is the best EVER made...IMO

Polish/cleaner? Meguires Scratch X

Sealer? Turtle Wax Gloss Guard

Wax? Swissol Onyx

i used the aquawax last week and had comments yesterday at work about how clean my car still looked and do i wash it every night to keep it looking so clean!! soon as i said no and that i had used autoglym they were shocked as they thought the stuff was pricey for what it is, obviously not as its looking better than what the cheaper stuff did for my last car.

Autoglym stuff is cheap!

Now tell them go and look at how much Zymol stuff is if they want expensive lol

I used to use auto glym and found the extra gloss protection brilliant, however it was waxed before with autoglym and washed again. Got beored waiting for the extra gloss to dry tho. Whne my younget lad came back from school he said honest dad you nedd sunglsses on to look at te car!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sometimes wish i did not have the jewel ultra finsh put on my fabia now.
