I think its hysterical the way people have written him off because he hasnt won the past couple of races!! I mean c'mon, its Valentino Rossi for f##ksake!!! "He's had his day and is now being outclassed on a regular basis" yeah right, absolute bo11ocks!!! Put him on IDENTICAL machinery to Stoner, Pedrosa, infact, anyone of the riders on the grid and he'd wipe the floor with them. Mamola, Swantz, Doohan etc, they all say the same. I do rate Stoner, Pedrosa, even what Hopkins does on that Suzuki, but no one, and i quote (Mamola and Julian Ryder) "there is nobody in the world that can get a Motorcycle round and through a bend, quicker than Valentino Rossi":D

Check my past thread history, i'm sure you wont find one excuse when he's lost?????????????????? As for me being stuck on your 'had his day' comment, i'm only responding to what you posted:confused: Personally i think it was a half ar$ed comment that i thought i should give my view on?? My personal view on Rossi is what i've already stated in previous posts, he IS the best in the current Moto GP grid;) Just my honest opinion mate:thumbup:

I think it is a 'given' from anyone who has watched Rossi over the years that his skills are such that he can more quickly adapt to combatting opponents with superior power / tyres and then go ahead and beat them.

Hayden was champ last year - but had a better machine and a lot of luck, whereas Rossi was dogged by bad luck. Look where Hayden stands this year - in the 'also-rans'.

Stoner is very good, seems to now be able to stay on the bike and is learning quickly. Personall I think Rossi's main challenger might well turn out to be Pedrosa - something about him. I suspect too that Pedrosa will be learning more tricks from Rossi than the others.

But, for now, and some time to come, Rossi is still THE outstanding rider / strategist / psychoanalyst.

You probably wouldn’t approve of them, they are popular toys I’m afraid. So I’m thinking no way

I've been on three or four Rossi threads, all of which I think you've been involved with too........surely I must have made it totally clear that whilst I'm no fan of Rossi, I having no problem whatsoever of recognising how talented the he is (or was).
