And a picture of my favourite car of the day.

IMGP1704.jpg

I know it's not a Skoda but it just looks so good.

Great pictures, shame I couldn't get the time out, looks like it was a great day

Nice pics - I do believe I'm making a guest appearance in the last one :D

That was quick - considering the media involved ;)

Mine will be forthcoming...

Colin, your MX5 does need lowering. IMHO, it wallows even more than a standard fabia. Just look at those wheel arches

You need to first upload your pics to the photo gallery, then link to them using img tags rather than use the attachment feature.

Fridays sun must have cooked my brain - how do I upload pics to the gallery?

Finally uploaded mine too: Awooga!!!

Fridays sun must have cooked my brain - how do I upload pics to the gallery?

Gallery is located here http://www.briskoda.net/gallery/ and from what I recall it even gives you the text to cut/paste into your post.

Have finally managed to upload my pics to the gallery - first time using this approach so still do not know what to expect. Have tagged them as Hullavington, Track Day so you can find them

All my pics were taken with a slow shutter speed but I am not sure it worked well in some pics, still here they are - enjoy, or not

I still have no idea how to get these pics into this post as many of you have done - would appreciate some guidance here

***EDIT*** Have found out that viewing pics this way is painfully slow, can someone tell me exactly how they included decent pics in their post so I dont look a complete pill0ck in future - thanks in advance

view the medium sized image and not the large one, and part way down the screen below the previous > next images is a line that says bb code. Highlight this line and copy it into your clipboard (ctrl +c) then paste that code into a new post.

eg.

repeat for each image. It helps if you have the gallery open in one window and the post in another.

Thanks Manny - here goes.

All taken with a slow shutter speed so you might not like all the results:

Nice pictures everybody, and good weather by the looks of it. Shame I was unable to make it as I was unable to get any time off work. Still looks like lots of fun for all who attended.

If I had been there, chances are I would have burnt to a crisp anyway.

what are days like this like on the tyres if your hooning about? is the surface any more abraisive than road tarmac???

I love the one of Q's car with Leeboy's Yellow Octy in the foreground, a candidate for the 2008 callendar me thinks!

Depends on the track / airfield. This one is very good. You would hardly know I've been, and in 2k of road driving you'd never know it.

Other places can and do shred tyres, it's really a case of listening or asking. We try to avoid the real tyre killers or make people aware. That said if your smooth ('m not) then tyre wear is not as bad as your not ripping the tyres/ sliding them.

It should be said for an airfield this was near track quality and tracks rarely eat tyres.

Unfortunately, on close inspection my front tyres have taken quite a hammering, but you wouldn't notice, the wear is very even across the whole of the tread and no rolled edges, so they are actually quite close to the minimum depth now. But that would be something to do with an LSD and 330+ bhp of power fighting for grip. Back tyres are not too bad at all, all things considered  .

My fronts were bald with a distinct scrub line on the right side of both tyres. Glad I brought spares!
