So, thought it may be nice to have a bit of a high mileage register.

If you are say 80k or more, add your name, car, year etc to the list like below.

By all means post up what the major problems you've had with the car too.

1 - 119,700 - 2003/03 VW Passat B5.5 '03 1.9TDI 130 SE Estate - Tom_vRS

  • A landmark reached 3 weeks ago. Car is running better that ever! VAG :thumbup:

  • Achieved on Thursday. Still runs well, once it starts (fuelling problems prevent starting at times; under investigation).

It really goes to show you lot in vRS's who are afraid about putting on 6k extra miles or will not touch one with anything over 100k that is a totally out of date perception of modern cars.

Shut up Welshy your educating the masses so you'll not get the bargins they would otherwise not even touch with a barge pole.

Thats exactly what I'm trying to show fella!!

Had a quick look at Autotrader and there is a 130TDI SE estate with 170k showing price £3999.

Great car, especially if kept unmodified they just keep on going.

starting to loose track of the "issues" my brother's having with his fairly high milage octavia - not sure how many are down to his driving like a **** though :D

Nope not yet touch wood, any with yours?. It was a rep mobile with fsh and most of the miles when i got it. Ive only done about 12k and so far its been fantastic.

Just fitted the 3 spoke sport wheel like my old fabia vrs one and its made it even more enjoyable to drive. I dont think it shows the miles too badly either....

The S4 wheels make all the difference, looks great.

I was considering those wheels for mine, do look good!

No issues with mine whatsoever mate, other than needing new clips for my engine undertray... :)

I've only just realised that my "chassis" has now gone past 100k :o

Is this VAG only or can I include my Pug 106? :thumbup:

7 - 137,000 - 2001/51 (MY02) Skoda Octavia Elegance 1.9 TDi 110 Hatch - 51OctyTDi (duh...)

You realise this will be out of date by tomorrow, right? :rofl:

My old Pug 205 D (non-T) had 100k on it when I bought it and about 140k on it when I gave it away. I'm led to believe it has since gone bang :(

Edit: Replaced while I've had it:

* Clutch master cylinder (got stuck and snapped off at the pedal)

* Front Anti-Roll Bar

* Front wishbone lower rear bushes

* Dampers

Well flicking back through my Golf history its last dealer service and MOT was at 126,000 miles and that was in 2002, no idea what its on now and i'm pretty sure the clutster has been changed..lol

01/51 VW Caddy 1.9SDi 148,000+

not strictly mine its my works van but.... i drove most of the miles on it (its in the body shop at the moment after a wee bump last friday into a golf :(

Hmmm have you noticed the 3 letters TDI crop up alot.

Travels Distances Irrefutably.

I have a question to all you Passat owners - with the face lifted (old model) the std alloys look ok but there are some nice bigger alloys I'm guessing 16" and they look very chunky and really set the car off.

Does anyone know what these are called & what model they came as std on?

I had a ride in a Passat face lift model 3 odd months ago and that was showing well over 120k in under 4 years 1 owner. To be honest it felt like new, he does have it serviced every year but nothing at all has gone wrong only the std routine items.

No wonder so many taxi drivers have these & the Superb.

Your on about the OEM Sport wheels. And when my tyres get low my Estate will most likely be wearing a set.

As an aside i think Jasons should be excluded.. basically because pretty much every "running" bit of it has been replaced...
