Vrs Tyres

Featured Replies

Hey Guys hope you are all good a wee question for any of you that drive the Fabia VRS how much mileage do you get out of your tyres, i just got 12.5k miles out of mine and iv been told this is good but not so sure, just thought i would ask you guys for your thoughts on this. thanks :P

Depends on lots of things. Your driving style, types of road you drive on, etc.

I changed the fronts at 16k. I'm on 29k now, and the rears still barely looked touched. Fronts might need changing soon.

cheers hunny for that, i think it may be my driving, i can be a bit hard on my wee furby

Well, it you lob it into every corner, then yeah, your fronts won't last long.

If you stick to pure motorway driving you can get really good mileage out of a set.

12k is probably the lower end of what people have got out of a set, tho. :P

Which one's did you replace them with?

You would normally get more than 12.5k from the rears. The fronts do take a bit of a hammering, 12.5k is not too bad if you've been driving hard.

I drive hard, its remapped and I got 16000 from the from Continentals at the front. the rears still fine at 28000 but had to change the fronts again already as a WOMAN drove it and managed to ruin the tyres!!

just hit 7k on mine fitting my new ones next week

Still going strong at the front at 20k on Conti SportContact 2s..........but there again, I'm a very good boy ;)

well i was a little skint as middle of the month for me, so had to put middle of the road tyres on, cant mind the name of them will check and update you later but they cost me

I got about 20k from the Michelin Premacies it came with, and around 18k from the Toyo Proxes it has on these days...

i got 5k out of the goodyear F1l's on the front, but i do tend to drive like a ****. Its my right foot it weighs more than my left.

got about 22k from the Michs on mine , the rear Michs have done about 45k , i say about as they have been on and off for track days as they have rubbish grip compared to the Toyos on my spare rims :D

Dear God!

I am not easy on tyres and my F1's are on 17k with I reckon another 5k in them.

It's been the best thing about them!

My T1r's did 18k on the road and 3 track days (The last track day finished them off thoug and I now have a set a semi slicks ;) )

My Micchy Pilots did around 12k and I got rid because they were awful.

Where do you get THREE tyres for the VRS FOR

Colleague of mine needed 2 front tyres on his car. He went to Costco and they would only fit new ones to the rear and put his rears on the front!!! They said it was illegal to fit straight to the front! First time I've heard of this. Is this a Costco thing or are they right?? My tyre fitter replaced my front ones without any problem (12k). (I have heavy feet! and crappy Bridgestones )

Is this a Costco thing or are they right??

They should stick to selling beans cos thats b*ll*x.

It's true the best tyres should be on the rears but it isn't illegal.

I've just done around 12k on a pair of Avons and they need replaced. I'm not too hard on them, but I'm not too soft either!

They'll be replaced with some Toyo Proxes T1-Rs next month - let's get some grip on there!

Got about 16 k out of my eagle F1's (Change about a month ago and my backs will be changed on Monday at 36k (but only due to a screw through the sidewall  Theres plenty left on otherwise!)

I got 32k from the original tyres on my old VRS... The fronts were replaced when i sold it last week!

   What size feet have you got? Thats some heavy right footing!!

big feet :D but i blame the big heavy engin up front

they are Uniroyal Rainsport tyres i have no idea if that is good or bad but they feel not bad when im driving, i'll see how much i get out of them, got them in a wee garage in Glasgow. they do look good i know this is a girl thing to say but they look mean because of the way the tread is on them. Do you know anything about Uniroyal if they are any good???????????? i know im such a girl when it comes to the workings of cars, lol

i think they saw you coming to charge you that much for tyres :(

31002 miles and still on original tyres! :P Still legal by bout 2mm :D
