Chris

I actually went into my local dealer's to see if I could do the same Steve but they wouldn't have my car off me as they have several already and they're not selling :(

Anyone read my sig recently? ;):D

you sly fecker:rofl: There's nothing like a new car, especially if it is one you already know you love!

The value of the used cars has taken a hit following the current free extra's promotion. Also cars without the Jumbo Box option will be harder to sell as it's now all but standard.

Still running my vRS in, only had it a few months. Good points are just about everything only problem I have is fuel consumption, but to be fair I came from a 1.9 TDi so just about any petrol car will take some getting used to and for a 2.0 litre turbo engine it is actually quite economical.

Gerry, that's ******!!

This is the CHEAPEST one in the dealer network and it's on a 55 Plate!!

Aye, tis about time you're seduced :D

For me theres a few annoying things that spoil a great car, basically rattles and creaks. Those being Rear Seat rattles, dash creaks & suspension creaks. The real annoying thing from my point of view is that there has been no follow up from distributors to resolve this, and if they have they've told me feck all about it.

:( If they were sorted it would be a super car as fingers crossed it hasn't let me down at all, but the niggling things are annoying things.

Lee, unless I have misunderstood - as your car can't be registered before 30th June does this mean your dealer has confirmed SUK extension of low-rate finance into next quarter as well as the "freebies" offer (Jumbo etc upgrades) ?

Mine hadn't been notified when I asked today but said he wouldn't be surprised if they had.

Am I reading this right Stu  , does this mean you're getting another one?

When I ordered mine, dealer thought delivery would be last week in June, turned out its more likely to be be 1st-2nd week in July, but after checking with the powers that be, I was advised the offer would still stand. From what I gather though the dealers aren't told until the last minute whether it'll be offically extended beyond June.

FocusZtec - Thats a cracking spec  - one thing missing, don't know if its something you would be interested in, but Heated Seats are now an option on the Octavia (thanks to some good people at Briskoda!!). Not all dealers know about it yet, its only recently become an official UK spec option. If its something you might be after do a search on here, theres a thread about it, you might need to get the dealer to make a call to Skoda HQ to confirm.

Hi Ross, I did discuss the heated seat with the dealer (he wasn't aware it could be done) but after test driving the car and sussing out the seats - im not sure it would be of much benefit ie you dont actually sit on the colder part (the leather part). If anyone has this option and disagrees then please let me know as it can be added although where the heck would the switches be placed in that cabin; I dont think ive left them much room! :D

Lee

The switches go in the dual zone panel - quite neatly actually.

The switches (for heated seats) go in the dual zone panel - quite neatly actually.

Yup; they sit 'inside' of the two temperature display panels (one for each side of the car, part of the dual zone climate) and they have a thumb wheel to switch them on and set the temp between one & five.

You will be surprised how effective they are. They won't warm the seat before you get on it, but it only takes a couple of minutes for the heat to come through. I put mine on '2' most morning, with outside temp 12/13 deg C or below, and keep them on for the journey. '5' is hot enough to roast chestnuts on!

They are great at warming your lower back, rather than your bum, particularly suitable as I have a long term iffy back.

You go away for a couple of days and a million posts later..........

Back to my comment on tyre noise, no I haven't tried 17's but I did say it may be a Conti problem and I also said it was really just a niggle. Having driven a liittle while today with windows down I still think they're noisy I wouldn't fancy a drop top version if that was what you were hearing all the time. But it is a minor niggle, I'll try different boots when they need replacing, but I still love the car. As the guy in the Z4 found out today you can pay for a badge but it doesn't make it go any better.

Steve,

No real need for a MODERATOR to use this type of language, for if a normal forum member did then you get a warning, but, with your MOD status your now obviously above this?
