Should i change the tyre

Featured Replies

Right guys a was dickin about in the car park and managed to knock the air out of one of my rear tyres.

I turned the car around 50 meters max but i had a car full of people whipped the spare on and got it pumped up at a local garage.

It looks ok bu obviously some of the writing on the side wall has been rubbed off but not excessively.

Will it be ok or should i change it? I did drive back from the garage with it on and it felt fine so ive left it on and again felt fine when i went to the petrol station

I'd see if it's still inflated in the morning and then decide then. Chances are it could be damaged below the amount of tyre you can see (depending on how you knocked the air out of it ;))......... If in doubt, most tyre places will whip it off and look at it for you....

Cheers chris,

Already look at a replacement and they are going for

Side wall damage could be dangerous if ignored, but it may not be as bad

as you think. Get it checked out :)

If you hit something id get the axle checked, they bend quite easily.
