As I am sure a few of you are aware I have been fortunate enough to get hold of an OEM Bluetooth Module and the necessary parts to enable this to be succesfully installed in my Octavia II.

The recent thread on the kit highlighted that several members might like to add this option to their own cars. Well I have agreed a deal with the guy whom supplied my parts and it seems pretty reasonable.

The kit would include the following -

1Z0 971 813 62U - Covering Black

N909 460 01 - Expanding Nut x2

N908 170 03 - Torx Screw x2

Assuming 5 of you wish to buy this I have a price of £165 delivered to you (Subject to any changes in currency rates). This includes banking charges to the supplier and delivery to your door. I am told that the UK price for the Interface Unit alone is £325 :eek:

A couple of FAQ's -

1. Yes I do think you'd need Maxidot - See below.

2. No you do not need a MF Steering Wheel.

3. My installation guide will be ready very soon and I am sure you will agree it is a reasonably simple install.

4. I will be on hand as usual to answer any questions (I am not by any stretch of imagination an expert but I have some documentation and a little experience)

5. It does require coding with VAG-COM.

6. I will require the cash before placing an order - Either by direct bank transfer to me or PayPal if you cover the fees.

7. I'd like to get this wrapped up pretty quickly as I have some names for the list already.

8. The GB for both Bluetooth and MaxiDot has been extended due to the delay for the MAxidot orders. There is a reserve list running toward the end of the thread if you'd like to add your name to it.

Those that have not paid will not have an item ordered, this is to ensure fairness to those that have already paid and are waiting for their goods

Ok, the big MaxiDot question!!

I have negotiated a price for these too. They will be new RHD MPH units with 0 miles on. (The mileage can be set on first install). I will hold my hands up and say I cannot guarantee that this is a straight swap and full functionality is gained as I've not had the opportunity to change one. The supplier assures me however that it is a straight swap and everything will work - the choice is yours.

There will be all types available including vRS TDi and Petrol, as well as normal ones for the MK1 and MKII.

I have changed a dashpod on a MKII Octavia and it is a 5 minute job to install. Once installed it will require coding with VAG-COM so you'll need access to that.

The MaxiDots come out at £155 delivered to you (Again subject to any changes in currency rates). I am lead to believe these are upwards of £360 in the UK.
