'Strange' Police m/way patrol behaviour

Very enlightened !

Do you hate other sections of society based on your experiences with one or two of them ?

If I did that I would have quite rightly lost my job and my ability to do a good job ten or fifteen years ago.

I was stabbed on duty on New Years Eve in 1998, maybe I should avoid cafes and restaurants in future eh ?, after all they are full of people with knives ?

By virtue of the above quote, you hate me, and yet we have never met.

You don't know me, and if we met we could either find we had lots in common ( I can think of at least one thing ! ) or maybe we would bore each other rigid.

So if you are going to hate me then hate me for myself, not what I do to pay my mortgage, car insurance and taxes.

Sorry, off topic, but hate is a strong word. :(

Well said!

Being the brother of a policeman in London I can empathise with most of the comments...

Police, in the most part, do a great job and being a well brought up individual I respect their position in society and therefore havent dealt with them too much (choosing to forget the 3 points :P)

Rest assured all police, the vocal minority will unfortunatley outweigh the majoritory who are mostly law abiding.

When I got my 3 points I had a great chat to the traffic cops (according to them I was the nicest person they had pulled over that day - 23 speeders from London to Reading lol!):

I respect anyone who will choose to do a job where they get to deal with the sort of people I choose to cross the road to avoid!

Keep up the good word and ignore those naiive comments made by others!

I think this is a fact we all lose track of - the media speculation, the individual rude policeman & the fact that we invariably only deal with them when in stressed situations can lead us to forget that.

Overall I give a  to the police, but each and every officer is a representative of the force and should act accordingly, just like I do when I deal with customers of my company.

1st of all, the police in my area are very well spoken.

2nd when I was pulled for speeding on a local duel carriageway I was doing over the ton, but the copper was polite and then said he would average my speed out over a mile. Which worked out to be 98mph.

Which just proves to me at least that police are human after all. And aren’t all bad.
