I dont have anywhere to host the dynograph so here are the results :

Engine Power (measured) 173.6hp @ 104mph / 5570 1/min

Wheel Power (measured) 127.9 @ 104hp / 5570 1/min

Power Losses (measured) 45.8hp @ 104mph / 5570 1/min

Engine Losses (corrected) 172.8hp @ 104mph / 5570 1/min

Torque (Corrected) 181l/ft @ 4302 1/min (engine)

Pressure/Temp (standard) 1002mBar / 11.C (DIN)

It would be rude not to take advantage of the jabba group buy, but the apr trial has won me over, power through every single gear, the stealth mode is also a great feature.

Is that a custom remap you are talking about or off the shelf, Mike? Interesting that your power loss of 45.8 bhp is very close to the figure of 46.7 bhp for my 4X4 on Jabba's RR. IIRC, the vRS had a dissipate power of circa 27 bhp on that same rig, or 23 in Jon's case.

Just a quick note for future refrence Daytripper...

Pictures can be hosted in the gallery.. thats where mine is hosted :)

That 45 odd bhp drop does sound a lot for a FWD car. Mine is somewhere between 20 and 25 IIRC.

ill try and post the pic in the gallery later.

The remap is off the shelf.

How long were the power runs?

You have to try pretty hard to fade PD's....

Try 60+BHP for my losses...and 180lbs of torque at 2000 rpm peak of 240lbs...umm

1.8t, or mine was in an out in less than a few minutes, Colins was a good 20 minn or so easily...still good of them to ask you if it was okay to use to warm the rollers up

Yep,

erm no, you know that Mike.

wurrrrr click durr durr purrrrrrr 105% boost. Maybe a few other things aswell

Off the shelf map but v-tune makes tweakable? I would like to get some time on rollers with it to see what it can do, although all the fueling options kind of scare me....now where did I leave my rabbit badge...

What are those rabbit badges anyhow?

Bit confused about all this. Seems like a lot of Briskoda members got figures that were not those that they expected. Has any particular reason for this been given? Weird as it looks like some people at the day were quite happy with their figs so it doesn't seem like the whole RR was reading low.

i think the problems were based on the loads bill, he spent ages setting up the diesel i saw, and some owners were reporting trans. losses of 50bhp

It was very strange... i thought my Car.. and the other standard TDIs were about right.. altho there was a problem with the Revo tdi one which only turned in 160-odd.

but the 20vt motors suffered apart from the Revo powered LCR.

indeed, the car i saw was the grey ibiza tdi (sorry dont know your name) but it was run quote a few times on the rollers to work out the load.

odd readings all round (talking from a losses point of view)

Glad to hear you enjoyed the day lads

Mission accomplished for a RR day up north for a change.

my Ibiza 20vt got 198bhp and 267 lb/ft torque

not bad considering the ikle k03 and stock IC and the general consensous is the rollers where down on the readings.

until next time

Dan

was a good day all round...

shame i discovered how to turn the boost up further last night... :D but now the cv joint sounds like a firecracker......

Cheers DeeJay for organising this.

Some pictures of the event are HERE Ffelans car gets some nice shots

Big thanks to everyone who attended and DeeJay for organising it :)

What does heatsoak mean?

Cheers to whoever took those photos.

On pic no. 10 is mine and looks like the car is on stilts.

Anyone there on the day notice the rotor discs on the white mk2?

How PHAT does ffelans rs6 alloys look??? I should have some and lowered 2" for the next NW meet in April.

heat soak is where the whole of the inlet tract get hot raising the induction temp reducing power...

mine didnt suffer from it it just didnt run the way i wanted....

Oh right, i take it the power gasket helps to reduce this.

Where are the pics of you and colin in your boot???

i think they are on sale on canal street..... not sure who took them.....

Lol
