The RS picture is a photoshop, look closely and you can see the image defects.

Not very exciting...

Neither's the 'old' one, compared to something like the Ibiza Cupra. It's one of the reasons I like it - kind of understated!

Hey, is that another

No, the tenner was for predicting which engine it would have. Looks like a PD130 exhaust (kerrching!!)

convertible nice vrs cab? :thumbup::D

looks incredibly high riding at the back :(

The cabrio would be a real departure, but the fotochop shown makes the nose look stubby.

Altho it would probably look very nice in the metal

when it comes to the vrs of this model more than the rest is the fact it higher than it is wide. that i feel will cause problems when it comes to throwing it into the corners. and i agree it does look quite high riding at the back. i think you if you break hard you will be scraping the grill on the road lol

Hate to say it guys but I quite like the look of a wee blue new shape fab vrs,

Ive been sorely tempted to trade in my 55 plate fab vrs for something like a focus st but I dont think the running costs could make me do this so I think I might try and hang on to see what the new vrs looks like if they ever make it!!!:)

That front bumper on the 'vRS' does improve the front end a little , I wonder if its close to what it will be? It looks like the Octavia II vRS foglights.

We simply don't know what to make of it, it doesn't look too good as in high riding and wobblie suspension. Let wait till Autocar etc gives it some road testing.

lucky for skoda they still have time to play with this vrs about a year anyway. as im sure they know this is where the mk2 sales will show if the cars a success. they could still sack the 6 year old designers and go for high schoolers instead. but then we'd end up with a disco ball neon light show and green flames coming out of the hood.

170 BHP 1.4 Twin charger Motor + 7 Speed DSG...................Nice spec.............a year?.......................By Jan 08 i think.

Mike

Fabia convertable..............................vRS speck.......................dribble, dribble :P

Mike

170 bhp - good starting point lol

1.4 twin charge - i have reservations on that

7 speed dsg - not a big fan of dsg but time would tell. change to a gear it aint susspecting and it can take longer. but the supposed fuel advantages and normal gear times would be welcome if it works well.

spec - i feel will have to be generous if its going to be popular as the competition have all raised their game with this generation of hot hatches.

jan 08 - would rather dec 07. make a nice christmas present lol.

7 Speed dry cutch version said to be a BIG step forward over the 6 speed wet system. Skoda simply don't want my money, i have cash waiting...............6 months from now we could be in a recession!

I feel for you Mike - you know, that Skoda won't make a car JUST FOR YOU!!!

Christ on a bike.

Anyway, if thats the new vrs, i'll keep the old one thanks.

Jokes apart i am surpized that they gone for the Combi i mean i expected a 3 door before that.

Mike

i feel 3 doors are overated really. fabias small enough as it is without having to clamber to get into the back.

:agree: 5 doors are the way forward! The whole 'practical and exciting' thing may well be marketing bull, but it does it for me!

well my view is simple.... they need it to be

I very much doubt it will be
