So I've finally got my Land Rover and i'm well happy :D Ever since I was small i always wanted a Land Rover. Now I have the excuse to have one

To top it all the main dealer even through in a days Land Rover off road driving expirence because the valeter forgot to clean the wheels and empty the rubbish out of the glove box. So spent 1/2hr cleaning the wheels this afternoon:D

Well look at the size of that carbon foot print ;)

Nice one matey.

Sorry Mate, someone has parked a silly Landrover in front of your new car so can't see it. :P ;)

Sorry but I don't like them. Personal choice, but good luck with it anyway.

Only one question to ask........................WHY?????????

I tow a caravan and therefore stay in the Uk for my holidays

so therefore my carbon foot print is smaller than those that Fly abroad :P

No wonder you aren't sure about coming to Portsmouth Mike, I expect you'll only know if you can afford the fuel when your kidney sells on eBay.

My Superb does 30mpg with a one ton caravan on the back......and tows really well ....my sister has a disco diesel auto and it does 23mpg solo and 16mpg towing.......OUCH

My Disco (300 TDI) used to do 25mpg, although that was with the fuelling "enhanced". The TD5 responds very well to chipping ;) Excellent car and very competent off road  Btw, watch the sky light windows for leaking and also the rear door which is prone to bending the hinges (that spare wheel is heavy!) and letting in water.

You'll also want some steelies with M/T tyres on them, diff, steering rack and fuel tank protectors and a snorkie ..... for when you take it off road ;)

Along with a winch, sand ladders hung on the side of a roof rack etc.

Chap at work had a TD5 defender, and could barely get 25mpg out of it on a steady run not towing anything. The auto box yours has will not make for good economy. He was always moaning at the

Nah that's just for show-off's :P Also not sure the mud flaps are very useful ;)

Chris

ps When you get the winch, don't forget to uprate the front suspension too :D

Well so far have done 180miles on 1/4tank, not sure how good the gauge is though! Also the engine is quieter than the oct'y.

Not that great if I remember. It's a huuuuuge tank too - 90l IIRC! TD5 is a lovely engine

The snorkel will come in useful if visiting Sheffield too :)
