Not seen every episode but the ones I have seen I'm fairly sure if I knew nothing I would not know Skoda were even rallying. Thanks for the info that they are :D

a family members son is a brilliant but not professional snowboader and recently won a "profile" event against professionals, but the program covering it did not actually interview him as he was not "A list?t", shocking in the extreme.

Agree with Colin Zero coverage of Skoda,

I agree its diabolical no wonder Skoda struggle to get sponsorship. Even when they were right behind the big four in the points they hardly got a mention. Maybe a British driver would help though as they do seem to like to fly the flag.

sparkey1957,

Channel 4 have been told over and over again about the quality of their programme from the varying times to the lack of coverage of Hyundai & Skoda, if fact since they first started showing the WRC I can remember reading complaints on their WRC forum page. The funny thing is someone from the station obviously reads the forum as he replies to some of the complaints but they never do anything about it. They are just interested in the McRae/Burns battle, not that I have any problem with that it just people watch the WRC to see all the drivers.

If you can check out the Eurosport coverage, much more stages footage.

I heard at the weekend that Skoda are having problems with the Fabia WRC testing seemingly its on hold as its wrecking gearboxes.

I agree completely - Skoda barely gets a mention, and the fact that the coverage has been sidelined into late night slots is very annoying.

Sometimes as well I wonder if there are any other drivers than Colin McRae - you can be each programme will have Penny Mallory interviewing him at least once

Yes I agree too , they rarely mention Skoda , its better to watch Eurosports coverage , theres less chatter and more balanced action. I think the C4 coverage has been 'dumbed down' to a degree to pander to the non enthusiast , which makes it infuriating for me!

Eurosport are as bad as C4 this year, OK we do get some shots of the Skoda's but they have also dumbed down the content and why do we have to have the woman doing the voice overs? what was wrong with the guy who did it last year? and its put on at some ungodley hour.

The dumbing down as I see it is because it's being pegged as the next F1 for Sunday afternoon viewers.

Unless F1 gets interesting; we'll have to see how the single qualifiers workout. Then Rallying will become a top dog prime time "motorsport"; it's fast, skilled and possibly above all spectacular when somthing goes wrong.

I do hope they show the lower ranks aswell; including local events, afterall Burns McRae will fade away, rallying never will, maybe the tv goons should know that; is it me?

I've given up on C4's WRC coverage. It's dumbed down, no Skoda or Hyundai (it's not like there are a lot of teams to keep up with!) and it's on too late at night. If I'm gonna stay up that late it'll be for Men & Motor's 'Hot Body Special'. I think it shows award winning examples of customised chassis's. ;)
